Note: item is also shipped from within Australia, so no additional GST charge.

    • Order arrived this morning.

  • These are great cameras

    • since these are POE, do we need to buy a reolink device to power these?

Also is 4K good or better to get 4MP 2K cameras?
Is 4K only limited to 15fps and how many fps will 2K allow?

      • Buy poe+ router

        Watch some youtube reviews

        • should we get a reolink NVR?

          • @pinkybrain: I haven't yet, Just micro sd

            • @shap08: do you already have a poe router?
or which one are you going to get?

I wonder if it is better to get NVR etc.. or just use microsd?
I guess you can also just use these with blue iris etc..

If you add ~US$13 worth of other items from AliExpress, you can use the next tier code for US$10 off.

  • I have 5 of these. Great camera other than a bit of ghosting in low-light condition. But for the $, they are good value.

    • Are you using the Reolink NVR?

I'm thinking about getting some of these and have ethernet points set up for outside already. Just not sure how I'll record the footage yet.

      • +1

I just chuck a microSD in them

      • +1

Yes, I initially purchased them in a package NVR + 5 811A, later added a doorbell and a couple of indoor wifi cameras - all recorded to the NVR. The ecosystem and app are pretty good. My other use case for my 811As has been motion triggered flood light, worked great. lol

You can find footages of the ghosting issue on YouTube and see if you would mind it before purchasing.

        • How much you paid for the package?

if we buy this camera, how much would the NVR cost to buy separately?

        I got the NVR.

It's great. Software is really good too.

        • which model and price?

  • Anyone knows the warranty on these ?

  • I have one of these. Was hoping to replace an old Arlo Pro 3 camera, to get off their monthly subscriptions. Maybe it's the location I have it in, but the Reolink gives sooo many false notifications for people and cars it can't be relied on. And when it's raining, windy, etc it's a disaster. No amount of settings tweaking seems to fix it.

If just used for 24h monitoring, and you don't need reliable alerts, it's otherwise perfect!

    • Yes, I think where you install them matters. One of mine does the same, but I was able to tweak sensitivities and detection object size etc. Seems to be working alright for me.

    • Reolink gives sooo many false notifications for people and cars it can't be relied on. And when it's raining, windy, etc it's a disaster.

Yeah, and so you have to turn alerts off at night, which makes them less useful.
I've heard as far as night vision mode they work better with turning off the IR light and using an external one mounted maybe a metre away so insects, rain and dust won't show as much which stops false alerts due to buggy AI. Don't know if that's true.

      • Ok, thanks for the tip. Certainly insects are a problem overnight for us

    • can you check the cameras via the app when not at home?

also you got the 4k camera?
how is the resolution compared to 2k e.g. can you see license plates?

      • You can definitely check on the cameras when away.

        • is 4k worth getting or just 2K cameras?
any downsides of the 4K camera? e.g only 15fps

          • @pinkybrain: I don't know about whether it's worth getting 4k over 2k, I guess it depends on your needs. Streaming 4k will obviously use a lot more bandwidth, higher storage requirements, etc

  • Use code AE5ZNAF now

  • +1

Dang that's a good price I have 8 of these and they are awesome, they take some tweaking on the notifications front but very reliable. I paid well over $100 bucks each!

  • Do you have to pay a subscription to view them live etc?

    • +2

No, I've got SD cards in mine, I can use the app (iOS/Windows) to view live or check recordings from both home or outside the network

  • +2

    Thanks OP. Got one. $95.45

  • Any good 2k or higher resolution wireless outdoor cameras recommendations, deals?

    Thank you.

  • Hi Reolink users, just set mine up. Access using iPhone Reolink app, with wifi ok but can’t connect on 4G. Anybody has any suggestions?

    • +1

New to reolink but probably open port on router for camera..not sure what port they use.

      • +1

Suspect port 9000. Open that on router. Might need a reboot of it to stick.

For anyone looking for the RLN8-410 8ch NVR it's $261.99 after code which is pretty good also imo

    • Not a bad price. Just got my second camera.
Now just if I need it. Upgrading house with unify ATM . Going away from old Google nest. Mostly so I can separate 2.4/5 wifi. Too many smart devices and Google cannot split. Was using another router ddwrt it and added just for 2.4. was a pain as not meshed.

    • +1

Thanks @Pete331 ended up getting one. $261.86

  • Why is ONE camera so expensive?

If I wanted two, are there any special codes that I can use?

  • Can save $4 more if you use $8 of $69 USD/$12 off $100 AUD 24AN08

  • That was fast, order arrived this morning.

    • Mine too, metro Syd. You did mention it was shipped from Aus so in my experience it's quick when it's local from these guys. Will need to borrow my dad's drill again to put this up.. only just put up a bunch of other Reolinks from the Amazon sale the weekend before too

      • how are you going to power?
any benefit of POE over normal wall power?

        • I have network cables to all the camera points I wanted in my house going back to a POE switch, so I simply need to mount it and plug it in. Reliability wise, cabled will always trump wireless. If you've already got 240v power to the camera point, you might not want to spend time and money running a network cable to it
