Looks to be the Everyday Extra 10% code. Need a subscription?

    • Nope. I just sign into Big W with my Everyday Rewards logins and then enter the code at checkout

        • +1

          That’s correct

            • @xwx: I can use the code previous month but strangely this XMAR2024 is not working for me. May try again with XAPR2024.

        • WOW

            • @xwx: I see. Thought it was an auto spelling correction xD. Interesting that the code wasn't to use online and now is allowed again. Anyway, I will unfriend everyday extra until WW drops their prices. The news said 19%. Will see.

    • It is definitely the once a month everyday extra code.
It literally shows it in the cart once you add the code.

    🍆purple is interesting.

🍑 just need a fat peach.

    • +7

      At the shops.

      • My apologies.

Where the DualSenses at that are priced under $79 brand new locally with Australian warranty?

        • +13

          In your dreams.

          • +19

            @Munki: My apologies.

Where the DualSenses at that are priced under $79 brand new locally with Australian warranty within reality at or near this current point in time?

        • Sony are the Apple of gaming. There are no sales..

  • +1

    New version coming out soon…

    • Is it? They may do another deal at EB where you trade in a controller for $49 or something like that to get rid of stock… I have one or two dodgy ones that I'd love to upgrade.

      • +2

Yeah new version comes out in the next few months. Apparently a pretty big upgrade

    • I hope so! I've been collecting every version of the S|X controller that's been released in Australia and I have no idea why. New version would put an end to my lunacy, right? …..RIGHT?

  • +2

It seems AmazonAU is matching this price today at $66.95

  • +1

  • It's a great price for this? I'm out of the loop with controllers….

    • +2
    • its not great you could do about $10 better for an xbox controller.
Personally, I'll pick up an 8bitdo instead.

    • +1

      not behd good size

      For reference

    • $49 with JB Perk back then and should be back

      • 70 if you include the usb c battery pack.

Does these still have the stick drift problem or was it fixed? I am currently trying to fix one that is hardly used and has it very bad.

    • +1

I got one of mine fixed by Microsoft but I heard somewhere that they are releasing some software to help fix that issue,

    • +1

yup they do. Get hall effect sensors instead if you don't want to replace every 2 years

    • +3

Does these still have the stick drift problem or was it fixed?

I have several xbox controllers going back years that havent developed any stick drift. Only one that has and that was after several years.

It is potentially a problem with any of the the main controllers for xbox, playstation and switch.

  • Can i use these for steam or better to get one with the dongle?

  • +1

I'm signed in, but it's still saying "please enter a valid promotion code" :(

  • +1

For those who can’t get it to work, there was a recent post on Markdowns Addict on Facebook that had a comment that suggested:

I had the same issue. Everyday rewards told me to unlink my card and then relink it and it worked

    • +2

Give the unlinking and linking again a shot
If it doesn’t work then I’m out of options as previous deals with the similar code has worked for people without the active subscription

      @Zander46 @Davious @Dogstar

        • +1

          Glad it works mate!

Everyday rewards chat is crap and knows nothing about their own service

That’s majority of the customer service people anyway :)

      • +1

Worked for me as well. Thanks for the help. :)

      • I cAnT acCesZ tEh faKeBoOk, rEquiRes a CoUnt. yOu'rE deAI i sNot vaLooD.

        Loll haha

Also, still owe you the beer.

just a fyi guys these Xbox controllers often get stuck triggers from holding the trigger down hard for long such as in racing games etc.

easy fix though, use a credit card to open up the bottom of the handle of the stuck trigger it's just held in with clips. it takes some force to get off but with some patience it's not that difficult, just slowly pry it open using the card to help you and find where the clips are as you keep pulling. (look up a youtube video if you want to see it done)

then if you look at where the trigger hits inside the body you will notice a thin piece of adhesive foam that's been smushed and the trigger starts sticking to the adhesive. pull that foam off and use a tissue or cloth to wipe away the little bit of adhesive left on the plastic. then just leave it like that with no foam and close it up. no more sticking ever.

I know most people who buy from amazon etc will quickly return the controller but this is a quick easy permanent fix. I got mine from amazon but I did the fix anyway because the controller works fine otherwise. it will eventually happen to your replacement anyway.

sometimes returning to other stores is a hassle too so yeah just fyi you can fix it.

  • "all colors" does not include starfield colors :(

    great deal though still

  • Will this work fully functioning with a Switch? Thanks!

    • You would need a 3rd party adapter.

      • Thanks, that's a shame though since they both seem to use Bluetooth.

  • Is this compatible wtih Armor-X Pro?

  • I have one for my PC with the official Microsoft usb wireless dongle, (before they were hard to get :D) got a blue one of the tesla, and now got a red one for the oculus quest 3 :D all with official battery packs installed as well, so good!!

    • all with official battery packs installed as well, so good!!

I just use eneloop pro's in mine. yeah sure taking batteries in and out to charge might be a hassle, but they designed it so very light effort required to pull them out so they made it pretty easy to swap batteries.

also official pack is 1400mAh @ 3v so it's not a direct comparison to two 2550mAh 1.2v eneloop pro's but many say they get more battery life using eneloop pro's.
pretty sure using AA's they are in series to reach closer to 3v to power the controller so 2x1.2v = 2.4v. in which case 2 eneloop pro's would give 2550mAh @ 2.4v, so at 3v they would give 2040mAh of capacity (I think original capacity in series stays constant because voltage is doubled).

some people might say you should use 1.5v alkalines, but nah it's been almost 2 years and zero issues with eneloop pro's. the only difference is because of the voltage difference fully charged eneloop pro's show as roughly 80% charge left when you check the battery level.

      • Like all my controllers on switch ps3 ps5 and my xbox controllers i plug in a usb c cable and it charges no messing with aa batteries no removable of batteries it just charges. I don't use aa batteries or have any need to do so

        • ok fair enough. I did say AA's need to be taken in and out so plugging in usb-c is easier. I guess I got used to it which is why it's not a issue for me. I just paid $50 for my Xbox controller from amazon warehouse and didn't want to pay extra for the microsoft battery I thought it was too expensive.

I also tried to explain in the middle how two AA's aren't the massive increase in capacity that you might think (it's not 1400mAh vs 5100mAh, actually 1400mAh vs 2040mAh).

  • I had a lot of problems with mine recently, had to connect by Bluetooth in the end, and buy the battery. You really do need the battery which is another $30

    • what problems were you having?

I updated the controller firmware as soon as I got mine and it's been fine almost 2 years now. using with Bluetooth and eneloop pro AA's.

to update the firmware you just download the Xbox accessories app on Windows 10 and plug the controller using the included usb-c cable (you need to take AA's out before you plug if you use them). tbh I never had any issues so maybe it helps with stable connection and power use etc.

      • Yeah I did that. I don’t know why, it must be faulty, reg batteries don’t allow it to work without being connected via usb c. Recently it was working fine regardless and then it started rapidly disconnecting. So I got an internal battery and usb connecting was still mucking up. So now via Bluetooth I have to regularly re-pair it which is driving me insane. If I buy the specific Xbox wireless adapter will it fix it once and for all?

        • +1

can't remember where but at some point the intructions told me I cant plug the controller into usb-c with AA batteries in side, you have to take them out and have an empty controller before you plug. you can do plug usb-c with the official battery pack but not AA's. maybe that's what messed it up.

  • Is the stick drift problem still prevalent with these controllers? I'm hesitant to buy another since my current one has that exact issue. Any recommendations for a reliable, resilient wireless clone instead?
