3* reviews. Why would anyone buy this when there are better powerbanks available in Amazon generally for lower price.

up to 100w for 20000 mAh one, please refer to Big W website item description.

100Wh is a measurement of capacity, not output. These powerbanks have an output of 18 watts.
Very sneakedly, the description of the provided USB-C cable says it's 100w* PD capable.

        • Plus 100Wh does not match the 20,000mAh rating at the usual 3.6V or 3.7V. And the power bank is physically too small for it to be 20,000mAh at 5V.

And even then, 15 charges of the iPhone 12 is not possible. The 12 has a 10Wh battery. I'd be surprised if it did more than 4 charges.

This is surprisingly dodgy for BigW…

          • @Prong: Everything else is a copy/paste from the laserco page. (i assume the text on the bigw site is entered by the supplier anyway).

Laserco now says "Up to 6 phone charges* …. * Based on an iPhone 12 Phone."

Seems they probably changed it and didn't notify the retailers.

No you don't understand electrical power or energy. Stop misleading fellow Ozb folk. Reporting your post for misinformation

        • Excuse you, that's what it says on the Big W website, it's not from me!!!

          • @Raguel: If it's too good to be true it usually is…

  • have you seen the Amazon powerbanks that come on here?

  • Pass Australia blah blah or pass heaven standard doesn't mean they are good quality battery inside. Don't just buy because price or the the casing. But the battery insidd

  • How many phone charges ? To 100% ?

The larger one does in fact say that it can supply 100W via USB-PD. I'll take my tester to Big W tomorrow and see what the what PD options it supports. Cheapest 100W PD battery bank I've seen if so

    • I suspect it's not correct because it also says this

      Product Features:

Up to 15 phone charges* Based on an iPhone 12 Phone.
Charging cable with 3 popular connectors included: i-Device, USB-C, Micro USB
      18W Fast Charging

Power Delivery (PD) ready for quick charging

      Also from the Laser website

      Input Micro USB = 5V - 2A, 9V - 2A
      USB Type-C = 5V - 3A, 9V - 2A, 12V - 1.5A

      Output USB-A = 5V - 2A, 9V - 2A

      Power 18W Power Delivery
So based on this it can't output on Type C.
Laser is a junk brand. No way do they sell massive 20000mah 100w PD charger for that cheap

      • True, plus I suppose it would be prominently printed on the box if it could. Damn that's a pity!

        • There is actually a large 18W on the front by the looks of it: https://imgur.com/a/P1KcH0W

From their site: "Power Delivery (PD) ready means that the PD powerbank communicates with your device (via USB-C) to offer up a lot more power (up to 100w*)"

Laser then never have a * explaining that point. Poor form.

    • From the Q & A of the Laser official page, https://www.laserco.com.au/pb-20k21-slv?search=power+bank&de… they quoted "How to charge the device? Is the PD rating of this power bank supports in and out?
The 10K and 20K power banks support both PD's in and out, allowing for versatile charging options. You can charge the power bank itself through the PD input, and use the PD output to charge compatible devices.

On the other hand, please take note that 5k power banks only support PD out. This means that while you can use the PD output to charge devices, the 5k power bank itself does not support PD input for charging.

For specific instructions on how to charge the device or further information on the PD rating, please refer to the user manual or feel free to contact us."
