Smartone IPTV App Not Working with Optus 5G Broadband

Recently installed the smartone IPTV app on Samsung TV and With optus 5g broadband, I keep getting connection timed out error. However, when I use hotspot to connect, I am able to use the app. I called Optus, and they are clueless on how to fix the issue.

Has anyone come across this issue? Has anyone figured out the solution?

    IPTV could be broadcasting over IPV4 exclusively, mobile phone providers are typically IPV6 so if not supported by the IPTV service you won't be able to reach their servers

    • am able to connect through Mobile Hotspot though.

  • Change the DNS to 8.8.8.8 or 1.1.1.1 reboot/flush the devices to make sure your using the new DNS and try again.

    • The router is Nokia Fastmile 5G. The router doesn't have the DNS settings enabled. I googled around and it seems to be the case as well. Not sure if there is any workaround

      • Change DNS server on Samsung TV then.

    Standard Optus support script monkeys. If they do not have it in a script to use then they cannot help or escalate.
