I see they've got various flavours at this price.

loved the cookies and cream in the microwave for 8 seconds but it doesnt go well with lactose intolerant people!

    • I'm just having normal sweets at that point

For those that care, last time I bought these they were short dated. Pass for me.

  • +1

I cut them in half and put them in my lunch box. I find them pretty full on and this doubles the yardage.

I grabbed a couple of boxes. Thanks OP.

If you buy 10 from chemist warehouse which is half price ATM, you'll get an extra 10% off which comes down to $2.15. you can choose different protein bar

    • Is that same a S&S price? Not sure if I am missing something

  • just curious are these at costco and if so what's the price?

    • I never seen it at Costco.

  • what is it good for?

    • +5

Hi protein, fibre, low sugar. Your body gets nutrition, the average cookie or chocolate bar gives you almost nothing of value.

  • better to buy them when theyre half price at Woolworths, coles or chemist warehouse

    • +2

Incorrect. They are the same price (math below). With chemist warehouse you have to go in store and take your chance with if they have stock or not (often don’t during 1/2 price like at the moment) - click and collect doesn’t get the 10% multi buy discount. If you want delivery you have to pay extra.

Meanwhile Amazon is 0 messing around and has free delivery.

      CW: 4.80 (RRP) -> 2.39 (‘better than half price) -> 10% off multi buy -> x12 bars = 25.81 + in store hassle.

      Amazon = x12 bars = 25.81 + free delivery

      • Free delivery only for prime members

        • Nope. First order is free delivery - don’t need prime.

      • the problem is you have to eat 12 of the exact flavours, not worth it

  • Two much sugar. I prefer the musashi ones.

    • +16

Yep, 1g is far, FAR too much bro.

      • +4

I have some at home and just checked. I must have slipped down a line when checking - could have sworn it was 21g per 100g. But that's the fiber content. It is in fact1.8g - thanks for that.

    • +3

Musashi bars taste inifinitely better. Agree

      • Quest don’t have soy and the other nasty junk in musashi.

        • If those levels of soy was a worry, I would be more concerned about sourcing protein from a bar

          • @jiminyjillikers: Moot point. Given the choice, why would you seek out the version with inferior ingredients if health is the goal.

      • They're rarely discounted tho

        • +1

NQR are doing them for $2ea

          • @Confucia: YOO I've never heard of em. I'm in WA do they ship?

            • +1

@DrDan: I'm not sure, though I have called my local in the past to hold stock. Try calling a store to see if they will ship to you.

        • the P45 bars are currently $3.59 at chemist warehouse which is more than double the protein of quest bars

      • +1

bSc bars currently half price at woolies - dark chocolate cookie tasted pretty good 👍 2.2g sugar per bar. 17g of protein.

  • +1

For a protein bar they taste alright. Cookies & Cream is the pick flavour wise imo

  • price seems high for just a 12 pack am I missing something?

    • +1

Candy is cheap because its 55% sugar…. but this is NOT candy
      $54.00 (47% off)

Its chewy and some people may not like the taste/after taste. So its only worth it for people who NEED the protein added to their diet

      • but who buys a 12 pack for 54 dollars? have to be rich.
I bought it anyway to give it a try seems hyped on here

        • Hitting your daily macro target can get pretty rough and these are a nice change of pace from poached/airfried chicken and whey protein with water every day of the week.

          • @[Deactivated]: Have a fun sized Mars bar with your shake for less calories and more protein! :)

    • Oh yeh so what price do you buy the 12 pack for?

  • +3

Got one today from WW, taste like a$$ fyi

Cork cardboard texture with a$$ overtones, threw half of it out.

    • +1

Agree, I picked up one each of two flavours at Woolies, crazy levels of sweetness. Thought they were atrocious.

  • Literally the worst protein bars on the market right now

  • +1

These taste terrible and have a concerning long list of ingredients and additives. Why can't we just get a protein bar without all the gross additives and sweeteners?

    • +4

Genuinely so confused by this. Protein bars are a processed food, of course they will have additives and sweeteners. Admittedly Quest has some the cleanest ingredient lists available. I can’t see how you could possible make a low sugar high protein bar any cleaner?

Perhaps you don’t want a low sugar high protein bar and just want a shelf stable protein snack with ‘natural’ ingredients. If so you could try Rx bars they are made with peanuts/dates/egg whites - they are lower in protein and contain lots of real sugar instead of sweeteners if that’s what you’re after? Or if you don’t want sweet bars there are ones made of beef kind of like jerky?

    • +2

Look fine to me.. the standard AF sweeteners included to replace sugar

  • +4

These bars have a horrible aftertaste..

The superior Grenade Choc Chip Cookie Dough bars have been reduced to (roughly) match this deal. There are only 2 boxes left on Amazon AU, so hope a lucky person reads this and grabs them.
