US$800 (~A$1200) Cashback at Apple Store with Crypto Visa Card (Stake A$5000 Worth of CRO for 6 Months Required) @ Crypto.com

267

Crypto.com Visa card currently having a promotion (until April 2nd) where you get an Apple product worth USD 800.
This card is not a credit card, so it won't take up your credit limit.

I have personally used this card for over 4 years. It's an essential companion when travelling.

This card has different tiers, and I'm currently talking about the green/purple tier. The highlights are:

  1. It comes with Priority Pass, limited to 4 lounge access per calendar year.
  2. 2% cash back in CRO crypto on every purchase. Up to USD$50 monthly
  3. 100% CRO cash back on Spotify + Netflix for the first 6 months.
  4. No annual fee.

The key points of this promotion are: For new cardholders (or if you have the blue/red tier, you can upgrade to green/purple), stake AUD 5000 worth of CRO for 6 months. Then, purchase at an official Apple store with the new card, and you'll get a USD 800 (around AUD 1200) CRO rebate on your first Apple store transaction. The official example given is for an iPhone 15.

I think this promotion is incredibly good value. Lock up AUD 5000 of CRO (which also earns 4% interest), and get an AUD 1200 CRO rebate. Of course, investing in crypto carries risks, but we're at the start of a bull market - Bitcoin just hit $70,000!

This promotion suits those looking to upgrade their phone or are interested in crypto.

Vibes? There’s an entire symphony playing….

“ This promotion suits those looking to upgrade their phone or are interested in crypto.”

Op forgot to include anyone looking to lose the money on the socked-list…

Please be mindful you would be placing your money in an incredibly volatile security. CRO: the coin you are staking for 6 months, was worth over 45 cents in 2022.

It is now worth just 14 cents.

    • +7

And that’s after the 50% gain over the last month!

    • +1

It reached over $0.80c in its peak.
      CRO is very volatile

Maybe if you bought it when it dropped to 5c but wouldnt risk it now

Expecting a massive dive in bitcoin after the halving. Its just the hype and FOMO thats causing all the buy-ins, people expecting btc to reach $1M. But history will tell you that its just a cycle.

  • +10

Am I still eligible if I just directly flush my money down the toilet?

    • If you payid me $5000, happy to match CRO offer by 10% lol

    • Almost exclusively.

  • +8

You guys don't understand! It's an essential companion when travelling!

Don't forget the unlimited Parioty Pass lounge access too!

    • +3

I applied. You got me at Parioty.

  • +4

    CRO worthless

  • +3

I hope they keep this offer for 1-2 months since that's how long I need before I can sell the CRO I unstaked lmao

  • +14

It comes with unlimited Parioty Pass lounge access.
    No international transaction fees.
    No international ATM withdrawal fees.
2% cash back in CRO crypto on every purchase.
100% CRO cash back on Spotify + Netflix for the first 6 months.
    No annual fee.

    Most of it are wrong.
    - limit to 4 lounge access per calendar year
    - 3% international transaction fee
    - 2% cro back up to $50 USD

Benefit has been increasingly worse. Not really worth spending $5000 for it.

    • thanks for the correction!

  • +3

    Avoid CRO like the plague

  • -1

Yes alts are volatile but if you know what you are doing and understand the cycles, you wont get rekt. Sadly 99% of people who invest act with emotion and the moment you get a 20% pullback in a bull run they sell and then price pumps so they try to get back in and end up losing money.

Crypto is here to stay, BTC is redefining traditional finance and people with money are starting to see its value and are pouring billions of cash into as we speak as its been the best store of value asset on the planet since its inception.

yes, this promo can be an issue if you need to withdraw the staked funds after 6 months and price dropped (although chances are it will go up as we started a bull run) but if you dont need it and hodl, it will go up.

  • +15

Do this if you want your $5000 to eventually turn into $5.

I had the red card and eventually they cut all the benefits I signed up for. Now its only good for cutting up some cola.

  • +7

i signed up on 10th Mar and my CRO has already lost USD 700 in value. i had card charge issue and i was looking for support on 11th Mar and the question is still unanswered til to date. beware before you consider using them.

    • +3

Damn man $700 loss, means you actually paid for your apple gear

  • +6

I signed up for this two years ago and use the card every day. CRO, BTC and all my other coins were in the red for two years but i just held the whole time and now even with this recent correction im up on each coin.

Yeah OP, i just dont think this is the right audience and place for this post.

    • Isn't it just ass that people who did sign up two years ago and rode the wave aren't eligible for the promotion

    • Yeah, I bought around 1.00 AUD (near ath) and it eventually plummeted, but with dollar cost averaging and buying equal value of the initial stake (500 AUD) in coins @ around 0.10c brings my average price per coin way down from the initial stake. Also for $1000 I've learned alot about not just crypto but market forces/economics in general. So valuable lessons for me.

And remember, it's only a loss if you sell (:

      • There is an opportunity loss. It is what it is though, can't win em all.

By the comments we are getting, definitely not at mania phase, still far away.

Volatility goes both ways, stay away if you don’t understand the risks.

The key is to time an entry right and don’t expect to be “up” in months.

In saying that, be aware of the limitations and caps now that didn’t exist in the last bull market for this card which is sad in itself.

If you are thinking of taking advantage of this offer, make sure you calculate risks and probabilities accordingly and not be swayed by positive or negative emotional comments here (or elsewhere).

  • +3

The card also comes scented like a tulip!

    • +1

      Tulip mania!

  • I like CDC and have the Ruby Red card (have had for about 3 years). I believe in CDC / CRO for the next cycle, but do not like this promo. Market it heated and the $5000 in CRO will likely half in value in the short term.
Probably do well next bull run though. NFA

  • Hopefully no one rushed into this.
CRO has taken a 20% dive since deal was posted

  • Is the minimum stake $5000 AUD or $4000 USD for the green/purple card to get the Apple promo?

    • Did you end up finding out?

Anyone know what's Apple's return policy? Can we keep the phone unopened for 3 months to see if the cashback gets credited, if not return the iPhone?

  • Buy 5000$ worth of CRO, then short BTC. I’ll let someone else do the math of how much profit from that 800usd we get.

  • Just a heads up if you don't wan't exposure to the token you can short CRO with another $5000 on another exchange and you'll now be denominated in USD. + earn funding interest as funding rates are traditionally high during bull markets.

With that said you still have exchange risk and opportunity cost of putting away 10k for an iphone.
