Credit Card Travel Insurance without Pre-Travel Purchase Requirments?

Hi all

Does anyone know if there are any credit cards that will provide complimentary travel insurance without the requirement to spend a certain amount on pre-travel purchases?

    CBA used to, but now don't.

    Why should they give it for free if you are choosing to use a competitor's product instead of theirs.

    Just for clarification, if I pay for my air tickets using 28 Degrees card and after that I apply for a Bankwest Platinum MC, would I still be covered for Overseas through the Bankwest Platinum MC. Though I don't envisage any issue but currently I am planning to travel to a place in Asia and looks like the travel insurance cost would be around $500 hence thinking of taking the Bankwest Platinum Master Card. Also my 28Degress MC isn't giving any points when purchase and there is no complimentary travel insurance.
