Kenwood Chef Kitchen Machine in White KVC3100W $249 Delivered / C&C @ MYER

160

I was browsing for a (stand) mixer to replace the broken one and noticed this model is on sale (50% off) on Myer. It seems to be the cheapest according to Google Shopping except for Target where shows sold out at $99.75 (https://www.target.com.au/p/kenwood-chef-kitchen-machine-kvc…).

  • Great price IMO for q decent unit.

Have had a Chef since ~2015 and paid around 550. Only issue I've run into is the grease starting to leak out of the motor output (main bowl output).

Pasta attachment (front) and food processor (top) have been great.

Haven't used the other attachments (some are hard to find, and not necessary if you already have the main appliance - ie blender).

Oh, I was thinking about this as a replacement for a 30 year old Chef that was leaking grease, but I'll pass.

My advice is don't replace it. Kenwood Chefs are easy to service, especially a minor thing like the gearbox grease. You can do it yourself with a kit from eBay or elsewhere online. Otherwise it'll be a cheap job at an appliance service store. I have a 1960s A701A model still going strong.

        • It makes you sick today's manufacturing. All these good being made that barely last through warranty period, while. Simultaneously everyone thinking we are going to be net 0 for the environment.

  • Pulled the trigger. Spewing I missed that target deal - what a cracker.
