C&C Experience at Mwave Was Atrocious

Looking to see if others experienced the same as what I have recently experienced. Usually odd.

Ordered an item for Mwave, click and collect. When i got to the collection area, there were people waiting around, supposedly for collection also which some banter went around while waiting. No staff at front of desk can be seen. A staff member came out from the back but served one particular customer and immediately ran back into the back, mind you that with certainty he saw all of the customers waiting in the lobby. Slowly and slowly customers kept coming in…10-20mins went by and still no one there to serve. There were now like 10-15 customers waiting to be served plus more coming in.

Another staff member came out from the back but was directly engaged with another customer, i guess a "vip customer". Hearing the customer call the staff from the phone, informing them that they were outside which they came out immediately. Looked nothing at it, minded our own business. A good sarmaritan disrupted their conversation in the lobby and they spoke to the staff member that was talking to the "vip customers". The staff member then went inside the back and looked for staff i guess and got another staff to come outside and help out…

Not sure what happened to all the front of desk staff but i guess the original staff thats assign to the desk came back after a while.

Are people just clueless and oblivious to customer service or are they required to be told what to do and require our feedback to actually get something done? Customers are the heart of the business and if they can't even serve customers or have the common sense to do a simple retail job, i guess we are doomed.

Even looked for staff in the docks and asked where is all the staff at front of desk, they replied saying "counters for collection is the other entrance…" in which I asked, wheres all the staff, theres alot of customers waiting to be served, just letting you know. Staff then replies,"they would also like to know the same…" wow, thats just saying how understaffed they are and they arent assigned to help or have no experience in helping or not their duty to assist? isnt this a trigger to be like oh, there is customers waiting and complaining, need to call team members to help?

who knows… just my story to share and have a laugh at… :D

    Why did you not just walk out ???

    Guessing that - mwave do undercut other businesses in the end price to consumers.

    You found out the reason how they are able to sell cheaper than others

    Either - go elsewhere (at a far higher price point) - or deal with it … Not like it's the end of the world.

      even MSY has better customer service…, mind you, they suck and are not helpful at all with their famous quote "we dont recommend products to customers".
      why dont i just walk out? thats abit silly, not everyone has the freedom to leave and comeback whenever they want to, people have things to do…jobs to do…Mwave isnt that cheaper than others but yes you can find better prices elsewhere. no, its not the end of the world but compare it to other countries, you will be leaving like a king/queen and no time wasted.

    Neither here nor there - only one example. I've picked up one or two things from Mwave personally and it wasn't a memorable experience.

    I've had awful service in good stores and good service in notoriously bad stores. I try and reserve judgment until I've been a few times.

    Generally, if you're shopping on price, you expect corners to be cut.

    I haven't had a C&C poor experience, but a online order poor experience.

    I made multiple orders for some customer installations during their Ubiquiti sale in Feb and also ordered some other products as they were the cheapest. I got the VIP membership to save on the shipping since the multiple orders would've been more than the membership just in shipping, so may as well get the $99 membership for future orders.

    Anyway, the 1st order took a little while but was smooth. 2nd order was good, and that was this deal.. The other orders tool ages. Ordered on the 1st of March and had nothing, it was 10 Nanostations so I thought maybe a stock issue at their and they were waiting for stock? Anyway, followed up on Monday early morning via their Live Chat and got a ticket because it was out of hours. Didn't hear a thing and then all of a sudden get a "Your order is complete" email for my pending orders 24 hours later (Tuesday Morning). No other communication. No apologies. Nothing.

    Really makes me think about whether to place future orders with them. It seems that their communication is just very poor. If they were waiting on stock, that is fine, I don't have a problem with that, but maybe some communication would've been nice with a rough ETA.

    Just my experience and I spent $5k with them in the last month.

    I have no store near me, so delivery is the only option.

    I prefer CentreCom but they are often a bit more in price and they have their annoying Credit Card surcharge.

    • yeah centrecoms quite decent but their cc fees and shipping sometimes kills the deal aye. feels bad for your troubled experience. you are exactly right, we arent asking for much, just updates and comms…

    That's normal for them from my experience. They used to be really good but their success has seem outgrow their roots.

    • Thats my exact thoughts. They used to be good and had good customer service but now seems they are digging their own hole.

  • brings back memories of gamedude computers in its heyday. i would never put up with that now. surprisingly they still seem to be in business

  • havent seen anything that bad but yeah it seems like C&C is a low low priority to them but by the same token would you ask them for advice? like really?
