½ Price KB's Gyoza 750g - $8.50

It's been about 6 months since KB's Gyoza been half price (excluding Woolworth's Just Cook Rebrand)

When I'm lazy or need a quick meal, I just place them in the air fryer with a light spray of oil for ~10 minutes.

KB Frozen Prawn Gyoza 750g, here you go.

    • +1

      got to eat them all

    • +3

Prawn Hargow easy to smash in every way. The chewy outside with the slight prawn meat crunch is spot on.

      • How would you compare with Costco Mr Chens Hargow?

        • +2

Much of a muchness tbh. But I could a basic bitch. Best try this while half off haha

  • What do you guys eat these with? I always feel like I should be eating a salad or vegetable while I’m eating essentially meat and pasta!

    • +7

Normally eat them alone as a lazy dinner with soy sauce

      • I do as well, just wondering if there is anyway to add some nutritional value to carbs and meat.

    • Edamame (unfortunately coles doesn’t sell these, but woolies or Asian grocer does in the frozen section). Lettuce, I sometimes eat each one on a cos lettuce leaf with some sliced chilli and use it as carrier for the sauce. You can also have these as a topping to a noodle soup like ramen, add whatever veggies you like to your noodle soup.

      • Edamame

All my Coles have plenty in the frozen food section next to these.

        • Ah, yes, sorry, my bad, appears my coles doesn’t, but some do.

    • +1

      Chilli sauce

    • +1

you could eat them with some rice and bok choy maybe, some seaweed salad would go good with these too

    • Lettuce and a bit of kewpie sesame soy dressing

    • +2

Kimchi on the side is a pretty good partner for this I think..

    • Soy sauce and chilli oil

    • +2

Bok Choi or Pak Choi cooked up with a bit of oyster sauce and served with some soy sauce on top. Takes no time at all. Fits the Asian theme and they’re available at Coles or Woolies.

sauce we use: 1 part soy sauce, 1 sugar, 1 white vinegar, 4 (warm) water, fresh chili or Sriracha (optional)

    • I do a fried rice to have as a side and eat them with soy sauce.

    • with rice!

    • I use the prawn hargow in soup.

Boil chicken stock, dash of sesame oil, soy sauce, sweet soy sauce, garlic powder, onion powder, white pepper and scallions. Then, add your frozen hargow and cook through. Sometimes I'll add ginger and rice noodles as well.

a mix soy and sriracha sauce splashed of these and down the hatch. As for nutrition, fibre, balanced diet etc etc ….. I'll eat a bag of shredded beetroot salad the day after ;)

I gonna stock up until their next sale in September!

  • 750g a bag? These feel like they have shrunk

    • +5

      Coles has always been 750g.

      Woolworths does the 1kg.

      Same price per grams.

  • I just paid $9 for 2 600g packs of 95% Australian made dumplings at an Asian grocery. Is $8.50 for 750g even good value?

    • +1

Which Asian grocery and what brand? Cheers

      • Brand is CHINESE ROYAL KITCHEN. http://www.exoticgroceries.com.au/product_info.php?products_…. I didn't buy from here, however it is uncommon for Asian grocery stores to have an online presence. Normal price was $5.99 for 600g, sale was 2 for $9.

        • Thanks will give this a crack if my local Asian has it

        • +3

          Wow, what a website.

          • @Kustard King: the background is a little out there, but it still loads faster than most modern junk.

          • @Kustard King: when i see websites like that i know its good asf, its like how all the good asian places just cross out old prices on menus and use a pen to write the new price.

            • -2

@Jetyy: Ahh yes, authentic Asian. I like it when you can see the kitchen, and it’s clearly not been cleaned since 1984 for extra flavour in the food.

    • Gyoza and dumpling are two different levels. I used to buy 3 for 4 packs 700g ~$7 each from IGA. Again, not the same thing, taste, and quality, etc. Also, this includes prawn option which usually costs more. If you factor the points, this comes to close in price.

      • If people are chasing farmed imported prawn sure. I prefer Australian pork and chive dumplings.

  • The packaging syas 6 servings but how many dumplings are in the packet?

    • +1

It's on the packaging next to the weight - 29-31 gyoza per pack.

      • Thanks. Totally missed that.

  • how do these compare to the costco ones? Takumi Pork Gyoza 40 Pack 1.2kg?

  • Bought 6 yesterday and 3 today to complete my $50 weeks. Week 2 and 3 completed.
