Amazon S&S Change - Cannot Add during Cart Checkout Anymore

Amazon subscribe and save. Normally you can do this 2 ways. at a single item level, or add them all to your cart, and then during checkout you select the subscribe and save option on the eligible items.
I have been doing this quite frequently to stack the $40/5% deal with the subscribe and save discount.
Today I have tried to do this and the subscribe and save option is no longer displayed at checkout. Has anyone else also noticed this or is is just a bug in my app or something?
Items in cart definately have s&s option available on them.

    Have you cancelled a lot of s&s products?
    Amazon In the us is blocking people who cancel subscriptions a lot from accessing s&s offers. I have no idea if this has been implemented in aus market yet or at all.

      Interesting thanks. Yes I cancel all S&S after receiving the order.
      But I can still do S&S with no issues - just need to buy each item individually. Seems like they have just stopped people adding s&s at checkout now

          S&s is actually a bit dangerous for the purchaser with Amazons dynamic pricing model.
          Subscribe today with item at $10, less 10% discount = $9. Good value for that item, as normally $10 at Woolies. In two months time when your next one is due, there is low stock on that item at Amazon, which makes the price $30 less 10% = $27. I think most people don’t realise they are subscribing to a product with a floating price point, and get charged accordingly. Any other product or service you subscribe to is a known price at the time of subscribing

          • @Shaneeo: Very true. Regular household items or groceries fluctuate hugely in cost. As an example, a 48 pack of 250mL red bulls can change from being good value, at $7.20/L to a rip-off at $12-15/L (almpst same price as buying single item from convenience store).

      • I'm guessing so as well. Wondering how many they have cancelled to flag this, as I have a few S&S that I cancel.

        Some crazy stuff ends up on S&S that'll only ever be bought once, so why not take the discount! I remember something crazy like a BBQ-Mate flipper being on the S&S. Yeah Amazon, I want one of them every 2 weeks! NOT.

        I normally set the S&S to 6 months for items I don't plan to get again, so I can 'review' them and cancel down the track.

    • All s&s can still be done at each product - no problems there

      Just add any product that has the s&s option to your cart, and then on the checkout screen see if you still get the option to s&s - you don’t need to actually place the order to try this

  • You can't add same items to S&S anymore. I've ordered some coconut water. want to order a 2nd batch but can't. Either there's a limit on max you can get or only allowed 1 s&s of the same product. Tried removing the s&s after delivered but still can't s&s. Says can order it normally with no S&S discount though

  • Apply S&S when it's in your cart, then checkout (click on Save 10% now with Subscribe & Save). It works on the site, I'm not sure about the app.
