  • If the flights get cancelled last minute - have fun.

There are tons of dodgy travel companies around. While some will be legit, there's strict T&Cs and limitations on the tickets they issue (hence the lower prices) so forget any customer service or changes once booked.

Some of them will mess you around with not issuing ticket confirmation for ages and even cancelling tickets. Rare but does happen. Read the T&Cs very very carefully to understand exactly what you are buying. Make sure they're an Australian company too (or at least AU registered).

Lufthansa is an actual airline. If that's an option and around same price, or even little bit more, you're much safer going direct to them than some random travel company.

    • Yes makes all sense. Will call Lufthansa since online they are expensive.
I was hoping to call flight centre in the morning if they could price match but don’t think they do that anymore

    Have ya checked skyscanner?

    • Yes they are more expensive

      • And you deleted your cookies?

          I ate my cookies.

        • I hadn’t but after you suggested it I did.

          Still exy

Makes my quotes look dodgy as - along with terrible online reviews

          • @Gotchas:

            along with terrible online reviews

            😕

Why not just go ahead and purchase then.

Then you can add your own bad review…

    • Skyscanner also use the same OTA

  • What Can Go Wrong

You pay for them, but they don't book the ticket with the airline.

  • Out of those, I would call Lufthansa. But Id check to see if local TA could get same first.

Globehunters end up been cheaper by about $700 when booking for 5 people.

    Lufthansa $1,696 - Globehunters $1,624 = $72 difference per ticket.

    Then, 5 people = $360.

    Am I missing something here?

    • Was comparing with the other ones as other ones ended up been more expensive once you click through

Lufthansa price not showing up direct on their website - maybe I’ll try and call

Sky scanner showing just a bit over 2 k

I’ll be calling flight centre on Monday to try and see how close they can get to globehunters

  • How'djago ?

Never heard of Globehunters but we did book thru Jetabroad for last Christmas.

We left 8/12 and arrived back 6/1

    I found flights on skyscanner.

Bris - Tokyo - London (make own way) - Prague - Seoul - Brisbane (via Sydney)

Arlines were Qantas - ANA - Lufthansa - Asiana - Qantas (syd to bris)

Price was $2,050 pp so just over $10k for 5ppl

Of all the airlines, Lufthansa was the worse. Just crap food n service and split us up. We all sat individually far from each other inc kids. My son was sick and threw yo and I couldn’t care for him. Otherwise, it was pretty amazing as those were all the places we wanted to visit. We spent 4 days in Tokyo and 7 days in Seoul. In Europe we went from London - Paris - Strasbourg (visiting Colmar, Riquewihr, Ribeauville) - Nuremberg - Prague.

If you are going for Christmas markets, I highly recommend Strasbourg. I think it’s the best in Europe. Next would be Prague. Nuremberg is overrated even though it originated from there. I think Dresden would be better from pics.

If you can go in late dec/early jan, Emirates is around $1800 pp

    • Thanks for the info

  • So who did you end up booking with ?
    reviews please ?

    • Ended up booking with trip a deal 2 for 1 Qantas points - got a cruise and Europe tour included
