Fake Email - It's NOT from CachOfTheDay

Hi,

I'm pretty sure there's no true ozbargainer out there who wouldn't know this, but just incase. I got a reasonably convincing looking email last night that read as below.
A simple check of where the 'Click here…' link went to shows it's not cotd.com.au (ie the real catch site) - also the weird way it was written rang some alarm bells.
They did use the catch logo, but I could get that anywhere.

Anyway, just a warning - don't click, it's not real!

  • That's so werid why does ppl want to steal your COTD account?!?

  • Most people have same passwords / email for most of their accounts. So could be fishing for paypal accounts, email accounts, etc..
