AliExpress and Fast Host Express Packages: Not Just The Avatar Can Vanish without a Trace

After seemingly reaching a dead end with all my possible options, I'm turning to the next best thing. Ranting on OzBargain!

Short story short, I made 3 orders on AliExpress in the space of 2 weeks (nothing new here). AliExpress have joined Temu in using Fast Horse Express (FHE) as the courier in my work place's postcode.

First package was stuck at the 'MelDC-1' for 10 days, then turned to undelivered, please contact support. 'Contact us' on the FHE website takes you to what seems like live chat, but it only has one response which pretty much says sorry, email us.

Emailing them isn't any better, there is auto reply with a bit of delay that says 'We apologize for any inconvenience caused by the unsuccessful delivery of your package due to [return].' The system doesn't even populate the reason on there 🤦‍♂️. It just proceeds to say that the package is going back to the sender.

Trying to contact AliExpress is more of the same. I can't seem to be able to get past their useless 'AI' chatbot to talk to a human. And even though it has been about a month since that first order and we are past the expected delivery date, the refund option is inactive and says its in transit (yet the AI bot says delivery failed..)

I just saw that the second package meet the same fate, with some more info this time. 'Delivery attempt failure,Address is unknown / wrong' which comes up immediately after the package hit the warehouse. My workplace is one of those places that the different address APIs disagree about, is it 'level 3, 65 Fake street' or is it '65C Fake Street' or '3/65 Fake Street'. It is different everywhere but none the less all the packages arrive properly, even my previous orders from AliExpress/FHE. But now it seems FHE changed a portion of their internal processing that simply auto rejects package when its not happy with the address and there is simply no way to contact them to do anything about it.

Something tells me the third package will meet the same fate.

All ideas, rants, other deliver horror stories are welcome!

TL;DR - Fast Horse Express (who are not fast but potentially run by horse like creatures (read: asses)) have started auto rejecting packages with non-standard addresses and sending them back to sender (AliExpress). There is virtually no way around the automated 'contact us' replies that tell me in no uncertain terms, that its more likely for me to marry Taylor Swift than to see my packages or money again.

  • My first dealing with Fast Horses recently was a disaster. I saw a package coming from them, looked them up, and my stomach sank. Absolutely scathing reviews.
Needless to say I was met with the same fate as many reviewers. My package was due to arrive one day but out of nowhere it was simply sent back to the seller with no reason or communication.

I messaged the seller and made it clear that if they used this service I would take my business elsewhere.
They stated this courier was "under investigation"
Nothing will come of it though, it's a cheap service that they will continue to use unless more people complain and they start to lose business.

  • The solution here is not to have aliexpress stuff delivered to work. They cbf taking an elevator. It's going to end badly.

My workplace is one of those places that the different address APIs disagree about

    first clue not to order.

    '3/65 Fake Street'

    First name: Brotality
    Surname: LEVEL 3

    Result:

    Brotality LEVEL 3
    65 Fake St

    • Exactly right, I'm no longer getting stuff delivered there. Everything used to get there just fine for 4+ years though. I guess losing $100 is not the end of the world, could've been worse.

  • Wait til you have to locate a missing package from the Speedpak/OrangeConnex/pflogistics/Freightster maze…

    • I'm fairly certain solving quantum physics challenges is easier than doing that

  • FAST HORSE is rubbish!. Not sure what is going on but right now I have had a AliExpress order listed as delivered - not so!. I had another similar delivery by Fast Horse, and that was not to be found.

I listed a non-delivery refund request to AliExpress and I had the refund granted in less than half an hour, I suggest the fast turn around was that AE have perhaps had ongoing issues with FH.

Its true, the reply situation with FH is not effective, and the AE Chat Bot is just a feel good feature, but non efective, with the old AE delivery was often slow, but did arrive. I have had very few delivery issues over 4 years of use, but Fast Horse appears to be a very lame one!.

  • i finally know who those dodgy looking FHE SMS delivery messages are from

  • Not a big fan of FHE. Small inconvenience, but I get them to deliver to a post office locker.

Less chance of a photo being taken and the package immediately 'disappearing'

  • I am having the same experience. Quite frustrated. In the past Aliexpress support have been good, but they have been bad in this situation.

FHE say they attempt to deliver, but never did? Same experience as you that I can't contact them. Its been over a month now.

Asked seller for a refund, they refused saying it is with the courier. I asked Aliexpress for help, actually managed to talk to a person who seemed helpful. Few hours later the case got closed saying invalid reason…. Not sure what to do either? Dont want to make a paypal claim as I dont want my Aliexpress account closed over $6

    • Will Ali close your account over a paypal claim ?

    • I have had PayPal refunds over Ali express orders not delivered and they didn't cancel my account.

I only use AE with PayPal due to delivery issues I've had in the past and them not refunding even when it's clearly not deliver or lost on transit.

  • Haven't had your specific problem, but literally every FHE delivery from AliExpress i've had, the courier has left the package in full view of the street during the day while i'm at work instead of literally taking a few steps away to try and drop it somewhere that's a bit more logical. Annoying and frustrating.

  • Had multiple packages not delivered by FHE from Aliexpress as those fools deliberately don't want to deliver, or redeliver at all.

They said I had a PO Box address one time which is a blatant lie, and another time for some reason they were using the 'post office' address on the parcel (which I never, ever put on there - that's something that I'm guessing AliExpress or the original long-haul shipper popped on the package???) so claimed my address was wrong. At least that one got redilivered as the driver was messaging me and I could communicate with them. The others, no such luck.

They don't bother to confirm an address when they think it is wrong and just send it back overseas without letting you know. You don't have a chance to rectify as they don't inform you.

I'm not sure if they rang me as I can't answer the phone at work and they don't leave messages if they do ring regardless!

    • Everyone is competing on price and now we're getting bottom of the barrel logistics. I didn't get far with AliExpress either, they said no refund on the basis that I can communicate with the courier company 🤦‍♂️

I ended up doing a charge back on cc for all 3 packages.

  • I had a bad experience now with Fast Horse Express. They claimed.to have attempted delivery yesterday. 1 ring and then hang up. It comes up as Taleen Healthcare 0291889300. It is definitely a forwarding number used by Fast Horse Express drivers. It goes straight to voice mail when you call them back. My receptionist was at the front and saw no courier. I ran outside and no courier car. Then I got the email and msg the parcel cannot be delivered due to navigation error or wrong address. Yet all the other AliExpress order were delivered no problems even last week by Australia Post. I email the company and got the generic response. Tried a few times with emails and same response each time. Delivery attempted today and same crap. Then I get the msg failed again and now will return to sender. What a scam. I did get onto chat with an AliExpress agent. They said to initiate refund request. Informed them about fast horse being a scam and their drivers faking to attempt to deliver and it's a problem in all states. Supposedly it will be escalated to their upper management. Who knows if anything will be done. Last year the driver actually answered the call when I called back and the parcel was delivered a week later but I had to meet the driver outside as he said they do not deliver inside offices. What a load of crap.

  • Same here. They lost a few AliExpress parcels in the past, but I managed claim money back. And I was able to contact Fast Horse in the past. Now they changed tactics. They claim "undeliverable parcel" and uncontactable customer. In the middle of a working day to the factory full of people and no missed calls on my mobile. Only a bot at customer service emails and uncontactable phone number 1800 555 1212 (found online).
The change happened in the last 4-6 months. Before that they were reasonably good.
