[PC, Steam] March 2024 Humble Choice $16.95: Nioh 2 Complete Ed. + Warhammer Age of Sigmar: Realms of Ruin UE + 6 Games @ Humble

360

Based on the hype surrounding the leaks of Humble Choice this month this must be a banger. Most of the hype has been for Nioh 2 Complete Edition.

Based purely on $ value, this month certainly is pretty good. ITAD has the historical low for the games at $150.30. Note, while the Warhammer game is the Ultimate Edition, it did not come with the soundtrack but still registered as the Ultimate Edition when I tried to buy it again.

Warhammer Age of Sigmar: Realms of Ruin - Ultimate Edition
Nioh 2 – The Complete Edition
Saints Row
Citizen Sleeper
Black Skylands
Soulstice
Afterimage
Destroyer: The U-Boat Hunter

I thoroughly enjoyed Citizen Sleeper. Really great story.

  • Here I was thinking I don't need more games and that I should pause this month…

    • Here's me pausing for multiple months, not getting any $2 or $4 coupon codes then cancelling last month :(

  • Are people simply thinking this is a banger based on price vs retail or are these actually good games?

Saints Row was free on Epic in December and I haven't heard too much about Nioh 2 or Warhammer Age of Sigmar… The rest sound like fillers.

    • Soulstice is a pretty cool AA game too. Like Claymore x Beserk with fem MC.

Citizen Sleeper was a huge surprise, having played it on Game Pass! Interesting story and great world building, kind of chill vibes.
I greatly enjoyed the Nioh games as well, being fantastic Souls-likes.

six out of the eight in the bundle I'm keen to play, so $16 for all of them is great. And to have a top tier game like Nioh 2 amongst them makes it a no brainer for me.

    • can also vouch for Afterimage, a great metroidvania game.

  • It's interesting to watch how unofficial reseller prices drop after a game gets Bundled. Some, like Warhammer francise games, only drop a bit in value, but other, like Destroyer UBoat Hunter, plummet to around $1 AUD. Nobody is "fixing" grey market/reseller prices; it is pure supply and demand capitalism.

Physical goods and services are scarce, but digitizable products can be easily copied thousands of time. Availability is artifically limited by DRM and DMCA copywrong enforcement. If you steal a physical good (lets say a painting), you are depriving another person of that item's use, but if you "steal"/download a photograph of a copywrited artwork, nobody is any worse off. Some people and museums even want you to pay like $20 USD, for personal use, for 1 image of a paintings that is in public domain (pre-20th century, like Caravaggio or Waterhouse or Millet or Van Goph or Albert Bierstadt.)
