Hi all,
I am pretty clueless with tech, so hoping the wise peeps at ozbargain can help me out here.
I've got an old TP-LINK Archer C1200 modem router from TPG and I've noticed the wifi signal would drop quite frequently after I switched it Origin around 6 months ago. For context, I live in an old single storey fibro house. Got an extender too, which only helped a little bit.
Do I need to upgrade to mesh system to fix the issue or should I start thinking of switching to another provider like Exetel for their NBN 50 plan?
Thanks in advance for any suggestions.
What happens when you are plugged into an ethernet port? Does the internet still drop out? You need to confirm whether it is an ISP issue or a hardware issue.
The device is going on maybe 7 years old…. depending on how long you have been using it for, it could be the device failing.
