Website or App to Manage Bargains with Lists of Planned Purchases with Price Alerts

I am looking for a better way to manage and keep track of products I plan to buy. I've had an idea that I should try and develop a website to do this for a while now but want to see if there's an existing platform that can do this already.

Currently I keep a browser bookmark list of products I would like to buy and the set the bookmark title to the cheapest price I've seen the product at.

Key features

  • Create custom lists group products
  • Add a product URL to a list and set a desired purchase price and be notified if the item falls below that price
  • Support for any product website that publishes prices that can be scraped or extracted
  • For each product, the price would be web scraped or fetched by API on a schedule to build a price history and run automated alerts

There are elements of Price Hipster, Camel Camel Camel and OzBargain deals but I am looking for a way to package it all together with price tracking and alerts.

Is there an existing way to do this that I haven't considered?
Does this sound like a useful platform or website?

    Sounds like a good idea, better than constantly searching every day or trying to figure out the best alert terms for OZB emails. I'd even consider paying a premium membership if it meant at some point in the day a human was searching for deals for me, like if 100 of us was on a list searching for a certain product all paying $5 a month, then maybe a staff member could spend a minute looking for hidden deals on it for us. And a VIP member forum where we can gossip about JV behind his back.

      8 years on the site and still doesn't know how to setup a subscription alert. Pity.

        I know how to do it. I put in one for Photo Paper and I get hundreds of emails a week for things that have nothing to do with photos or paper.
