Phone Holder for Car with Round Air Vents Audi A3

Hi fellow OzBargaineers.

I am struggling to find a phone holder for my Audi with round air vents, any suggestions for good phone holder or alternatives.

    Most Audi drivers just use their hands from what I've seen.

    Lol i had an A3 and i just bought the Belkin phone holder that sits in the cup holder.

    Alternatively you can get one of those holders where you have to unscrew the vents to install.

      The vents "pry out" and just click back in - no need for screws. Those holders look good and blends in nicely with the dash.

    I got one that fit between the vents…

    Not the exact same one but similar. Mine has a S logo on it so it makes my car go faster :)

      Is length between two vents adjustable? Not sure if all Audis/Merc have same distance between vents

    Do you have any cupholders? My phone cradle fits inside a cupholder.

      Cup holder is not infront, its near the gear part, so kind of kills the purpose if i have to look down

    I had this same issue with my MB.
    Kept finding those ones between vents (as above) or expensive ones that you have to unscrew the vents and then mount some plate on.
    In the end I just got one that goes in the CD player.

    I just found one that fits into the drinks holder
    or those with suction things on windscreens

    I've tried many phone holders and nothing beats the ones that stick onto the windscreens. Better positioning too imo.

    If a phone is blocking off an entire AC vent, how will the vent work? Also in winter, won't the vent be blowing hot air at the phone?

      Some vents can be shut manually.

      Make sure you do because I know roasted lithium cells don't last very long.

    I've been using this one for the last few years and it's worked very well.

    For my model, the air vents are closer together, so they had this piece of flat plastic that slipped underneath each mount and the magnet was mounted to that. The A3 vents are slightly further apart, so it won't look as "blended in" (but still looks better than most other ones on the market).

    The only thing i don't like having a piece of metal stuck to the back of the phone (for the magnet).
