Hi, what is currently the best option as for an upper midrange value driveway?
Exposed aggregate? Any other options? Any specific companies and anything else one should look for?
Thanks!

All of our neighbours have some kind of pebbles, no regular concrete anywhere… But thanks for the advice I will check.
Will depend on which council area you're in. Brisbane City requires a permit (self-assessment) to cross the footway, technical standards are accessible online. I'm sure any slip-resistant finish will be fine.
Yes, BCC. Which ones are better? There is exposed aggregate, honed concrete, pebblecreate, permeable etc etc
@Musiclover: Depends on length and overall dimensions. Will it do double-duty as a basketball court or skatepark? Does it need to be porous due to leaf drop? I toured around the 'burbs looking for a reference site.
@sumyungguy: 6 by 10 m (60 sq m). No, just a driveway.
I do not think it needs to be porous, at the same time, it is probably better like that - nice when it is dry during the rains.
Regular aggregated is OK, but I like more pebble/concrete ratio. It is normally achieved by washing out more concrete, which may lead to some pebbles falling out.
I am not very fussy with it but just want a nice lasting solution. There must be something most people go for? Some good trusted price/quality option.
@Musiclover: Regret I have no further insight. Mine is quite unusual, 30m long, wood-look sleepers as wheel tracks with artifical turf. Not suited to 6 x 10.
Fair warning, aggregate is a pita when something goes wrong. Council/water/gas etc need to rip it up? Youll never get it matched again. Youll be lucky to get aggregate at all from them.
By all means, aggregate your own drive, but do crossovers and IP access points in plain concrete. You also need to factor in additional engineering (assuming you want it done right)
Not sure who you have up in QLD but in SA Hallett is cheaper than StyleCrete. Really comes down to oxide and aggregate options. I would budget $500sqm (I had an internal aggregate pour done 2 weeks ago)
Exposed agg will prob look the best. Concrete will be easier to fix and repaint.
And if it is Brisbane Council don't just ask one staff member ask several staff through different means?
Are you doing your footway crossing too? You’ll likely need BCC approval for any decorative finish as the base spec is broom finished concrete.
