Anyone Done Any CPU Reballing with Poco X3 Pro

  I have that phone but thankfully haven't had to perform that procedure!

  What's wrong with the phone as far as symptoms go?

  doesn't turn on; no charging ; white screen of death

  tried to turn on once but was stuck on the Poco loading screen before screen went all white and switched off

  Son's POCO X3 Pro developed a grey screen bootloop today. Interestingly, it seems to be fine in fastboot mode, but since the phone is locked, there's nothing I can do from there.

  If I try to enter recovery, it grey screens and reboots after a little while.

  I think my phone has this problem.
  Plugged it in to charge today while it was still working then after awhile I went to pick up the phone and it was completely dead. Black screen, holding the power button on for 30s doesn't work. Using a combination of holding volume up and power or volume down and power does nothing.

  Anyone has successfully fixed this by reballing the CPU / processor?

  I managed to fix it.

  Opened it up to access the ram and cpu. I put a halogen lamp on th CPU for 40minutes then let it cool. Reassembled and it worked.

    Consider this a very temporary win, get your data off the device and get a new phone. I've done something similar with a laptop that had a failing GPU (except I used a proper hot air electronics rework setup) and the first time the "fix" lasted about 4 weeks. Second time it was good for a weekend and third time it did not work at all.

      Yeah it's only temporary. I had to reheat the CPU multiple times to get all the data off it.
