JB Hi-Fi No Longer Accepting Gift Cards to Purchase Gift Cards?

From this comment and the subsequent discussion, it seems like JB-HiFi has recently (probably last week) forced their staff to not accept buying their GCs using GCs, so we can no longer use the TCN GCs to buy any GCs in JB-HiFi.

I suppose the Ultimate GCs still work since they can be added to Apple/Google Wallet so that their staff won't know I'm paying with a GC, but not the TCN ones because they cannot be added to mobile wallets.

Does anyone know of any potential workarounds for this? I rely on these discounted GCs to purchase Apple GCs at JB-HiFi and currently have 3 TCN gift cards left.

EDIT: Just went to my local JB store and purchased 2 Apple GCs using the TCN card, I think it still depends on the staff, good luck!

    The official notice was sent on Nov 2023, but it seems that this starts from last week. I have not confirmed it myself but can see a couple of posts from other forums last week relating to staff members cancelling transactions of using GC to buy GCs in-store.

  why isn't jbhifi supporting their Ghetto Child? That is just absurd. And don't get me started about the Third Country Nationals!
