Hello,
I'm looking to find a monitor that would be suitable to run with my Xbox Series X - I mostly play FPS games if that helps! My understanding is that it needs to have HDMI 2.1 to make the most of the series X output, but am having trouble finding smaller monitors that have this feature. It's going on a desk with a small sort of cubby on top, so ideally it would be under 25inches. Many thanks for any help/insight :)

Unfortunately, as of now, they don't make 24 inch monitors with a resolution/frame rate high enough to warrant HDMI 2.1

Can you remove the cubby and get a bigger TV?
Potentially, but will have to run it by the missus! Would you think it's worth it for the bigger monitor size? I'm used to playing on a TV, so have never experienced the gaming monitor life
@mcdrizzle: Bigger is better. And real HDR is the true next gen feature, you'll notice good HDR more than 4k over 1080p. Could remove the cubby and get a vesa mount into stud on the wall behind the desk?

You only need HDMI 2.1 if it's 4k/120hz. Most small monitors aren't 4k, they're either 1440p or 1080p, in which case if the refresh rate is high enough - the "standard" HDMI 2.0 will still do those resolutions at 120hz.

You'll want it to have good HDR, with like microLED backlighting so it can light and dim different parts of the screen at the same time.
