Thanks op one day I will figure out what all is included in different bundles

  • 10% shopback cashback for westpac customers

  • OOS?

  • Sold out already

  • Btw hero 12 does get overheat and shuts down if running for a long time and susceptible to hot weather too.

    • So Insta 360?

      • Might not be applicable to newer generations of GoPro/Fuji, but according to David Manning's overheating test on YT, only DJI didn't overheat

        • I have the go pro 12
Last wknd i was recording in the garage some boxing footage, the garage door was wide open. So i assumed plenty of air flow.
Got through around 40 mins of footage and then it was overheating, stated turning off. I waited 10 mins and then it ran fine for another 20 mins or so. Settings were 4k 120fps
So lets see if this will be an ongoing issue

          • @minatosensei: I assume you're using such a high frame-rate because you're editing up slowmo's of punches and such?…. If you haven't already, turn off functions you're not using, comms/wifi, voice control, set the screen saver to 1 min or set the screen brightness low, turn off stabilization if it's just sitting on a tripod and you don't need it… I assume you have it on a mount or tripod so there's airflow under it, not just sitting on a table or such?… Make sure you use a decent SD card, the cheap Samsung Evo's are good… Last resort, power it from a power-bank and remove the internal battery…

            • @FLICKIT: The plan is to do some slow mo shots hence the 4k 120 fps. I was using the handheld gymbal and moving it around with closeups.
I may have to alter and look into the things you have mentioned also.

    • It's really not as bad as some people make out, I've never once had my 10 or 12 shut down due to heat even though I use them in hot and fairly extreme environments…. They do run warm, the 10 more so than the 12, but it only seems to be a real issue if you run every setting at max and have no airflow… If you use some common sense they're fine…

    • Aren't they all - they've made them waterproof/resistant so there's no airflow so I feel like it's bound to happen.

      Even my S21U overheats.

DJI Action 4 is a better option.

    • Personally i do agree, but there will be people that will go for GOPRO no matter what. This was a good deal for them.

      • You are right about that. Go Pro was the pioneer when it comes to action cameras. However, the past few iterations of their model hasn't catch up yet to the competition.

    • Why?

      • +1

GoPro cameras technology not up to par with DJI Action cameras. A lot of reviews on YT comparing the two cameras. It's like they just change the name of the new model but almost the same features of the previous models.

      • GoPro: Prone to overheating, short battery life.
DJI Action Cam: Offers a magnetic quick mount feature, cheaper.

Overall, both cameras are quite similar in other aspects.
