Will OLED Laptop Monitors Survive for Years?

Hi, I was in the market for a new laptop and noticed that many vendors have jumped to OLED displays.

Reading up on OLED, I see a lot of information on how things have gotten a lot better in terms of burn-in, dead pixels, etc. on OLED TVs but given that computer screens typically show more static content, I was worried that I might run into issues in 2 - 3 years.

Has anyone actually used an OLED laptop for a few years? If so, did they run into issues? Thanks

Most likely they will go into multiple years.

Light years is a measure of distance.

Think about your phone? most phones are OLED and last years without any issues

    • The content on your phone is almost never static and they aren't on for 9 - 10 hours a day like your laptop would be

Honestly my phone probably gets more screen time than my laptop - no issues

Mine seems to be getting an orange and white bar burned in across the top after 3 years.

        • Your laptop? What laptop do you have?

@OI27: My mistake, it wasn't burnt in, just the same orange and white graphic hadn't moved for a long time!
