I was about to buy this last time, but realised people were being shamed in the comments for buying a turntable with bluetooth. So I didn't.

Enjoy tunes the way you want to enjoy them and don't let others spoil that for you because they're elitist snobs who think there's only a specific way to listen to a piece of music.

I'm not buying a record player or turntable because vinyl produces better sound than CD or digital or there is a particular 'analog' sound I want to hear. It doesn't sound better. It is considerably worse than these alternatives in almost every respect imaginable: audio fidelity, transportability, media degradation, media storage, etc.

But I collect vinyl soundtracks, I want to play them, this suits my setup, and this will be streamed via Bluetooth to my standalone speaker and it is exactly what I want to do. So haters gonna hate!

        Nah, I get that.

I had thought you lose some original quality going through bluetooth.

But I did remember aswell it does have audio out, which I had to just recheck.

Yeah, some people just like to complain. A lot of wasted energy goes into people whinging about something which has nothing to do with them.

I have a Sony turntable with bluetooth and have it set up to stream to my stereo pair of Nest Audios.

I get to use the Nest Audios to listen to Spotify by voice through Google Assistant, or if I want to listen to my Money for Nothing LP, I can do that too.

        Best of both worlds!

The way they compress cds now the old vinyls they sounded better to the ears, I could stay ten hours listening to vinyls at max volume but I can't with cds

What on earth do you expect out of a sound burger, of course it's going to sound like crap and ruin your records lol.

Bluetooth isn’t really the main con of a unit like this, it’s the ease of damage you can do to vinyl both from being so exposed and from the quality of needle and head a unit like this is bound to have

If you’re playing opshop discs this’d be fine (tho overpriced)

  • It can sound better if you have a good needle, speakers, it's a good pressing and you maintain the record. CD has better consistent quality but it sounds very slightly different. I like CD but I like vinyl as well It's user preferences. Vinyl you can have some fun things with records that you can't do with CDs.
This turntable will probably be very good with a new needle and preamp to bookshelf speakers.

  • I got this for my bday from the wife…would have gone for something a bit better but I'm stuck with it…and I am having difficulty getting it to be recognised via Bluetooth to my laptop and desktop…

    • why do you need to connect it to your pc? its Bluetooth out so it works with a speaker. if you want to record the records use an a/d converter with the line out

  • These are $257 again at JB!
