I’m with Macquarie and recently found out that I could use this service. How quickly after deposit does the money show up in my account?
Is this the Macquarie Debit card you're using with Bank@Post?
It's instant.
cash is instantly available however cheque deposits take forever to clear, much longer than if presented at the bank (the uncleared txn still shows instantly to your point). If you find yourself in the unfortunate position of having a grubby cheque, you're better off using your own internet banking app to take the photo to deposit (nab/westpac — pretty sure others have capability too).
Macquarie Bank is not listed under Australia Post: Participating banks and financial institutions
Macquarie does not have access to Auspost's withdrawal, deposit nor account balance features
Need to support local
Who's local
credit unions …
All the good ones have converted to bog ordinary banks already
Except 'local' does not support us. They shaft is at every opportunity. Competition in the banking sector is good for everyone
yeah cos the big four are definitely competitive
Didn't even know this is a service they offered lmao.
I got the heads up about this over at WP a week or two ago… but strange that I haven't received this email yet nor any messages in the app or web banking.
Regardless, it's gonna be annoying to have to remember to bring my NAB debit card when I need to deposit cash at Auspost.
