The "Capacity" in the listing says 1tb, not 2tb (I know it says 2tb in the title).

I was originally eyeing this off when looking for a 2tb drive (bought one of the MSI Spatium drives from CentreCom yesterday).

Prepare for disappointment if you do go through with the order.

    • The SKU ID in the item name is the 2TB version though: ALEG-960M-2TCS ADATA website.

Sure. It's a gamble as to what you get. I would be staggered if anyone got a 2tb drive, and then they get to enjoy the fun of Amazon US returns to get their money back.

      • You told us the SKU in Amazon's product title is right, so why are you perpetuating Amazon's mismatched title & description on OzBargain? You should correct Amazon's mistake and quote the correct Legion 960 MAX specs in your OzBargain post description.

Dang, already purchased MSI Spatium M450 2TB M.2 NVMe PCIe 4.0 SSD $139 Delivered + Surcharge @ Centre Com.

Oh, this one's 1TB despite "2TB" in the name.

Thumbnail shows ADATA Legend 800. Description and specs show ADATA Legend 800. Selection box shows 1TB capacity. What you will receive is uncertain.

    • Almost definitely a 1TB Legend 800. The style selected is speed for the 800. More significantly the same ASIN on the source Amazon US correctly shows it as a 1TB Legend 800 even in the title etc. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0BW1ZXTMD

Don't know how Amazon AU ended up with the wrong title etc whether it was wrong on US originally or somehow AU just imported the wrong details.

  • Nothing about this listing seems to line up. Good luck! But looks like a gamble. There is even a 2tb option next to it so the argument might be weak.

  • The price has been corrected to be 1TB and 2TB is $202.

  • Plot twist - I'm chatting with an Amazon CS rep and they've confirmed it's for 2TB. I'll see if I can get a reference number for the conversation.

Me: Hi - can you please confirm if this item listing is for 2TB? https://www.amazon.com.au/ADATA-800-Internal-Storage-Enduran…
Amazon rep: Hello, I’m _______. Please allow me sometimes to go through your previous conversation.
Amazon rep: Yes, it's for 2TB
Amazon rep: You have placed this order or planning to purchase?
    Me: Planning to purchase.
Amazon rep: If you want the item for 2TB, then you can feel free to place the order.
Me: And I will receive the unit based on the title: ADATA Legend 960 MAX 2TB M.2 NVMe Internal SSD PCIE Gen 4 - Up to 7400MB/s Read - Up to 6800MB/s Write - Backward Compatible with Gen 3 [ALEG-960M-2TCS]?
    Amazon rep: Yes
Me: Thank you. Can I get a reference number for this conversation please?
Amazon rep: All conversations are recorded in our system. In case, you need to contact back on this, please just ask the agent to check today's conversation.
Amazon rep: We appreciate your patience and understanding. Is there anything else I can help you with today?

    • Well I think we can be sure they're wrong and just went by what the title or whatever said in their system. Only question is what happens when you receive the wrong drive? Will they let you keep it and get a full refund, or require a full refund with a return or offer to replace it with an actual 960 2TB, or something else?

      • I think I can make a strong case for the more preferrable of the options you've listed, based on the transcript I have with their agent.

If you're after an SSD, and don't absolutely need a 2TB, I don't see how you can lose here.

        • I don't see how you can lose here.

One way would be to end up with (fast but) pricey 1TB SSD instead of (fast and) dirty cheap 2TB SSD.
