Don't see paypal as an option, is there a way to opt-in (get into the beta test) as want to use AMEX

Not bad, more importantly it's a better cashback rate than the competition right now (I think).

It looks like they're pushing this points system and will continue to support it, but if you'd rather not have leftover points buy custom amounts. For example $100 will return 490 points while $102 will return 500 points.

    @GCXSupport

I have exactly 100 points and it won't let me redeem (saying it's below the 100 minimum), the same occurred when I had 700 and it only let me claim $6. A bug maybe?

    • @hiphopaslothamus big thanks for that feedback, raising a bug ticket to investigate as we speak.

Same issue. Was only able to redeem 1400 of 1500 points and it won't let last 100 be redeemed.

        • Hold tight @CheapBrah a fix is on its way, and will be in-place Thursday next week. Apologies

          • +1

@GCXSupport: @CheapBrah please check now, the issue should now be resolved.

So if I sign up and get 500 points,
Purchase a $103 exchange gift card,
Receive 504 points, totalling 1004 points,
Redeem for $10 exchange gift card.

Paid $103 for $113 worth of GC.

    8.8% gain/profit
    Not bad.

Better than 6.25% from Prezzee when they have there $160 for $150 deals.

    • Prezzee ones can be exchanged for groceries (Woolies/Coles) whereas this can't, so depends on what stores you'll be redeeming into.

  • @GCXSupport Maybe my caffeine hasn't kicked in, but I'm looking at a $200 GC and it's only showing 280 points in the cart. Is that right? And then after purchase it'll change to 980 points in my account? 🤔

  • @KangaDrew it needs to specifically be one of our Exchange Cards (or Credits) purchase.

So anyone one of these: https://www.giftcardexchange.com.au/exchange-cards

    or

    Credits: https://www.giftcardexchange.com.au/buy/gcx-buy-credits

    • Ahhhh that's the key part I clearly missed! re-inserts caffeine drip I read "Exchange gift cards" to mean "Gift Card Exchange gift cards 🤦🏻‍♂️

      Thanks for the quick reply!

      • I already made the same mistake. I thought extra points are bonus. So I bought the gift card I want drectly and lost some points.

        • Yeah, I have to say, the whole process it's a little over-engineered. Could have been simplified greatly.

  • Getting D4405 checkout error on one card and D4406 on another.

Suggest using the kiss principle for future promotions.
If the potential market needs instructions on how they need to transact to save, then you've made it too hard unnecessarily for very little benefit in attracting and retaining future customers.
The company doesn't have the market momentum to make this scheme work long term.

As someone who designs and streamlines processes for efficiency, this one has well and truly done my head in. Lots of room for improvement with this whole type of promo moving forward, that's for sure.

Despite the OP's reply to my query, I'll just wait until they have another promo that's not as convoluted. Buying gift cards to exchange for points or credits, and to then have to use those credits to buy the actual gift card you're wanting to buy from the outset is OTT. Uhhh… yeah, pass. Just give me a straight 4.9% discount off at checkout - job done. Even SuperSwap and Swap Celebration are nowhere near as over-engineered as this GCX promo.

@hugh @KangaDrew thanks for this feedback. Looks like we might have over cooked the bacon, duly noted.

      • +1 for the straight discount

Based on your valuable feedback we have opened up our offer of 3.5x to every card.

  • OP, is there a purchase limit for the bonus points?

Looks like the Coles gift cards from yesterday do not work as a payment method :(

    • Also tried and get an error while trying to use the Cole’s MC.

    @GCXSupport

I'm still seeing the banner and it appears to still be applying in cart. Has it been extended or did you enter the wrong ending time/date?
