[QLD] DETROIT 2000W Heat Gun $19.95 (Was $49.95) + Delivery ($0 C&C/ $99 Order) @ Total Tools

240

The Ozito PXC Cordless Heat Gun caught my attention after missing out on the corded Ozito Heat Gun late last year. I decided against getting the battery operated one due to the run time and potential extra wear on the batteries.

geekcohen's comment (https://www.ozbargain.com.au/comment/14986053/redir) about Bunnings matching Total Tools offering intrigued me and sure enough I found stock available at their East Brisbane and Tingalpa stores. I went straight to a Brisbane Bunnings and picked up the Ozito equivalent (https://www.bunnings.com.au/ozito-2000w-variable-temperature…) for $17.95! Absolutely no fuss getting the price beat.

For those outside of SE QLD, if you set your Total Tools location/store to East Brisbane or Tingalpa it looks like delivery is a flat $6.24 to east coast metro areas.

Hopefully if enough people price beat at Bunnings they'll drop their price.

Ive got a makita cordless one and honestly cordless heatguns aren't that great. They take a long time to heat up even to a temp to shrink heat shrink. Creating heat uses a lot of power so run time isn't that good either.
240V is definitely the way to go.

Available for Click and Collect in WA.

  • Do you mean Tingalpa?

    • Yep, that's the one 👍

Hold up.. are you saying bunnings price match a non-identical product? I wanted this last time and got my order placed but they bloody cancelled it within a week or so saying non collection……

    • I went and asked about this at my
Local Bunnings in Vic and they definitely didn’t entertain price matching an equivalent. How did you go about doing this?

wtf you guys using heat guns for?

    • +1

      heating stuff

      • That's cool

    • For me it's heatshrinks around cables in work, and then at home I got makita instead of hair-dryer because I can digitally set the temperature and it stands on it own hands-free.

    • phone repair, heat skrink wiring tube stuff, general heating of the nuts

    • In place of a butane torch for cooking so it doesn't have that butane flavour.

      • Wow as in for purpose of something like creme brulee or more like a steak?

        • Yes, all of the above. Perfect for creme brulee and I saw a YouTube video of someone finishing off their sous vide T-bone with a heat gun. I suspect it would be good for skinning tomatoes, blistering capsicum skins, melting cheese or torching some aburi nigiri sushi. Culinary possibilities are endless!
