Cheaper Tabasco Alternative?

Does anyone know any cheaper alternatives for Tabasco? I love those things but they are so expensive! I go through two small bottles a week.

Thank you! :)

Any ethnic shop will have bottles of Louisiana sauce or variant for about $2.50.

Or get a huge 370ml bottle of Valentina for about $6.

    • Thank you! I’ll try to find those

I like Tapatio as a budget friendly option.

I guess you could mix cayenne powder with a bit of water.

    Which Tabasco? Regular?

    • Yeah regular is still the best for me

      • What you usually eat tobasco with?

I really like it with fried chicken

if you cant afford $5 a week on your favourite food, maybe you should stop eatting.

      You're on the wrong website.

  • 1) Buy the big bottles

    2) Use less to make it last longer

The Chipotle one is my fave.
Go to is often a bottle of sriracha, goes a lot further. And cholula is pretty good too.

Otherwise yeah learn to make your own. Vinegar, water, hot stuff, other stuff…

    • I tried sriracha but I thought it was too thick.

Yeah, I thought about making my own but always end up being lazy and just buying more Tabasco before I have the chance to make it lol

Stock up when they go on sale each month for $3.70

  • One of the big things I prefer about regular Tabasco is the fact that it doesn't have garlic in it.

I've not yet been able to find a better vinegar based hot sauce that doesn't contain garlic so any suggestions are welcome!
