Vegetarian Ready to Eat Meals for $1 - Fortitude Valley, Qld

390

The Indian shop in the mcwhirters mall in fortitude valley has a pretty good deal on veggie MREs. Woolies and Coles sell similar veggie MRE bags for $3 or $4. So $1 is not a bad buy. I have eaten all of the varieties and can vouch for them except for the dumplings one which tastes terrible.

Bung this together with some rice and you've got a meal that is fit for a New start recipient.

Name of the shop is geeta enterprises, shop 30 mcwhirters mall, Brunswick street fortitude valley.

"..and you've got a meal that is fit for a New start recipient." +1 just for that

  • These are normally priced about $2.50 in Indian stores, if you don't feel like paying $3-4 at Coles/Woolies.

Really? When I was there 6-7 yuan (~$1) would get you quite a nice feed at either a good street vendor or small local restaurant!

  • I'm sure this will go well with the 66 cent wine that everyone seems to have ordered.

You could buy a $1 curry bag, go and get a $4 box of fruity lexia from the First Choice liquor shop near the Waterloo Hotel, and then walk across the bridge to Kangaroo Point and try to talk one of the working girls into giving you 15 minutes for $40.

A great Valley night out for less than $50.

It is definitely indian product. All i want to say is to make sure it is not expired or close to expire. Because the preservative change the true taste of food if it kept longer.

  • So Coco's in Annerly has something similar, with 2 x Dhal's for $1.50

  • These are extremely unhealthy afaik. Full of trans fats and stuff.
