I realise this is probably a cynical way of thinking, but this is a really easy way for a Canon to get promotional material from many different creators for free and only having to pay one of them at less than market rate. haha

How to Enter
- On 7/02/2024, the Promoter will announce the Competition and the brief ‘50’ (Brief) through:
a. Canon Australia’s Facebook channel;
b. Canon Australia’s Instagram channel;
c. Canon Australia’s website at www.canon.com.au; and
d. emails to individuals subscribed to receive marketing communications from Promoter.(referred to collectively as Posts)
To enter this Competition (Entry), Participants must;
a. create a video that meets the Brief; and
b. use the link in the Posts to submit that video to Promoter via the competition entry form.Any video submitted as part of an Entry must not be longer than 2 minutes in length.
Entries will only be accepted by Promoter if Participants:
a. upload their video as an unlisted or public video to YouTube and provide a link to their video in their competition entry form; or
b. post their video on their public social media account and provide a link to their post in their competition entry form.Only one Entry is permitted per person, and all Entries must be received by the Promoter by no later than 11/03/2024.

Yeah it's just the way with these kind of things. Generates clicks and viewership on top of the content they can use for marketing. All companies do this though.
Been racking my brain to come up with a concept for '50' that clocks under 2 mins.
