Most ebay coupons are put out by sellers for their own store, generic ones tend to only be for the power sellers.
the only way you should be trusting it is if you get a coupon showing directly on that item page itself when logged into your eBay plus or eBay account.
if doesnt show it there on eBay item website then assume even if you win auction coupon wont be any helpful at all

You could potentially look for gift cards, though obviously check T&Cs.
What's going on? Bit of buyers remorse?
Be careful with Gift cards, (any refunds or returns done you will be stuck with massive gift card amounts that are also having same 8 limit per transaction).
and in case you loose eBay account so does your GC balance equate to $0 that same time. (I'd never suggest from my past mistakes that Gift card are always worth it, Visa/Mastercard only directly or indirectly).
