We had the same issue with a different Westinghouse fridge, took forever for warranty service tech to be available but they did replace the fridge and restarted the warranty from 0, so can't complain.
Would u please share how to force defrost?
There is a 6 weeks waiting period on this one. Btw do u recommend getting this one?
There is no documentation that I could find online. So it was trial and error for me. Press and hold the fridge and freezer temperature set button for 4-5 seconds and you will see the Fridge temp LED as "dE" and Freezer temp LED as "ON". After you think its finish forced defrost (Say after 4-5 hours). Press the same button again and it should go "dE" - "oFF".
The door alarm on this unit is so weak - like even if you are standing right next to the fridge - you wont hear it at all.
The comments below about French door Vs 4 door - agree you cant keep larger items but I bought a Hisense chest fridge/freezer few months ago so that does the job.
Whether I recommend - I mean the interior of the fridge looks well built with thicker shelves and pull out trays. Exterior is easy to keep clean. If you are getting then then prob check if you can get extended warranty on the unit
I have a 200l chiq deep freezer so freezer volume is not an issue. I need something larger than 400l in fridge volume.
In terms of extended warranty i got all including delivery for $1994
@Fuzzy69: how much did you pay for extended warranty and how long is the warranty period if I may ask ?
@azhar7772: $200 for 5 yrs with the good guys
@azhar7772: Hi Azhar, I have read somewhere that you still need plumbing done for your automatic ice maker, is it true? or the ice is made from the 3.5L water tank in the fridge section? can you share your experience?
@Fuzzy69: Hey there - No you dont need plumbing if you have 3.5L water tank. Water is taken from the tank for Water Dispenser and Automatic Ice maker.
@azhar7772: Thanks mate. So many conflicting reviews.
Waiting for the backorder
@Fuzzy69: I dont think TGG sells WQE5660BA. I cant see it on their website.
@azhar7772: They do in their internal system. I went to the store to place the order. If it is ok can you please inbox me . I might have few questions in future
Is there regular maintenance that one needs to do with refrigerators?
Brush the condenser clean once every few months.
Its at the back right? Is there a filter with this jon plumbed one?
It’s at the back on the ground. It’s part of the refrigeration system. Just give it a quick brush clean that’s all.
quad door is overrated… better to have french door at the top and one big door for the freezer (slide out or hinged) as it makes it harder to fit lets say a frozen pizza or frozen pastry sheets due to the middle non-removable divider.
we walked into an E&S showroom and measured them in which i suggest you guys do the same.
There are very few non plumbed option with a large fridge (400L +) section. I already have a 200L freezer so happy to loose bit of space in freezer section
I know you are looking for something bigger, but this is the design you should be looking for:

Mate i looked at the 609litre one. All good but plumbing is adding $400+ fridge is adding $1000. Soo had to skip that option
I had two option either this or samsung 4 door 648 litre but samsungs top is 381 compared to 40L on this
@Fuzzy69: the above is non-plumbed… but i was just referring to the freezer door design…
Is better to get a plumbed or non-plumbed one?
Depends on ur existing house plumbing. Plumbing costs about minimum $400+ so …
isnt plumbing just required for the ice maker? otherwise you can just not use the ice maker albeit some fridges may have non-removable filters so it will take up space
I thought non plumbed doesnt need a filter ( may be wrong)
@Fuzzy69: non plumbed means you have your own water tank to fill in instead of directly from tap
I am doing a major kitchen reno so the addtional plumbing cost is minimal…but my builder told me he prefers non plumbed as the plumbed one requires water filter and maintenance.
Also I read from others, the chill water capacity is just a galss…
Its a 3.5L tank in this refrigerator. If u have the option of plumbing then go for it and get the bigger one .
Good Fridge. Bought it couple of months ago from JB. Really like the automatic ice maker on this unit. Last week I thought the fridge died on me as the fridge section stopped working and only freezer was at -4 degrees. It might have been someone at home who accidently did not close the fridge door properly at night which caused the evaporator fan to accumulate ice and not work. Somehow figured out how to force defrost and it came back to life after 6 hours. Note: Westinghouse/Electrolux service is not that great. When I called up - I was getting a service appt after 3 months.
