Hey peeps
Hoping someone can help. I am after the service requirements per for a Hyundai i30 2016 model. If someone can share photos of what’s required between 110 000 and 160000 that would be appreciated
Thanks!

Thanks. Nothing in there. That’s the owners manual not the service log book which shows the service intervals and the associated work required.
Section 7 is all about maintenance and has the service matrix in it.
Maybe they dont expect them to last that long ???
You can usually ask the dealer for a new service book, or maybe contact Hyundai Australia.
Yeah they want $260 for a new one, but I only need to check what’s required between 110000 and 160000
Just ask them what's required between 110k and 160k. The service department should be able to tell you that.

Euro, but should be similar?
Or ask at the https://i30ownersclub.com
The dealership should really be able to tell you.
Another option is to get a new car.
That will come with a new service book.
Well you’re not wrong
OP will have to drive 110,000km before they get to the right page in the book though
Go test drive a used 2016 Hyundai I30. Check in the glove box and see if the manual is there (if not, ask the sales person to see the manual as you want to check its service history. Pull out your phone and take a picture of whatever page or pages you need. Your welcome and good luck!
If you go this webpage, you can enter car details and the distance and ask for a quote. The quote also gives details of what is involved.
https://www.mycar.com.au/servicing/book#logbook
So for Logbook service: 120000 km= 96 months, it includes:
- Comprehensive vehicle inspection
- Oil and fuel filter
- Top ups
- Vehicle digital diagnostic scan
This website: http://autotech.net.au/hi3ss/ mentioned:
Every interval includes a base service plus the following additions due either by time or distance:
120,000 km or 8 years
Brake fluid/Cabin Filter/Fuel Filter (diesel & petrol)/Air Filter
135,000 or 9 years
Coolant/Spark Plugs (petrol only)
150,000 km or 10 years
Brake fluid/Cabin Filter/Fuel Filter (diesel only)/Air Filter
180,000 km or 12 years
Brake fluid/Cabin Filter/Fuel Filter (diesel only)/Air Filter/Spark Plugs (petrol only)/Timing Belt (FD petrol only)/Coolant
Otherwise call a Hyundai dealer and ask what it involves.
Amazing! Thank you this really helps
No probs. I think one of the websites asks for the actual model of i30. I just chose any model so you might want to redo the website using your correct details (not sure if it makes much difference).
I did go through it so I can know the motions. Thanks!
Its not really that critical once you are up to that sort of kms. Change the oil and filter, inspect everything else.
Are you asking becasue you want to DIY?
Asking because I’m looking at buying that car but it’s missing the service logs for that period and the owner tells me he has been DIY since covid. So I want to see if there is anything critical in that period
That makes sense.
for the most accurate information, use the hyundai servicing quote system from their website. https://www.hyundai.com/au/en/find-a-dealer#service. Enter any dealership location as it doesn't affect the logbook items.
It shows all the required things to do for all service intervals of 15000 km when you press "See package details" up to 510000 km.
As an example, this is the 120000 km service for a 2016 i30 1.8L active:
Carry out complete global diagnostic system (GDS) check
Check operation of instrument warning lights, gauges & illumination
Check vehicle for outstanding recalls or service campaigns
Inspect SRS air bag & pre-tensioners
Inspect air cleaner element
Inspect air conditioner refrigerant/compressor
Inspect battery terminals & condition
Inspect brake fluid
Inspect brake hoses, lines & connections
Inspect brake pedal
Inspect cooling system level, hoses
Inspect disc brakes & pads
Inspect drive belts
Inspect drive shafts & boots
Inspect evaporator pollen filter
Inspect exhaust system
Inspect front suspension ball joints
Inspect fuel lines, hoses & connections
Inspect fuel vapour hoses & fuel cap
Inspect operation of lights/wipers, controls & accessories
Inspect park brake
Inspect seat belt webbing & operation
Inspect steering rack & all linkage components, boots
Inspect tyres including pressure & tread wear
Lube door, boot, bonnet hinges & latches
Perform fuel system treatment
Replace engine oil & filter
Replace fuel filter
Rotate wheels front to rear
Amazing! Thank you!
That list makes it seem like theres lots of work done during the service when the reality is its an oil change and a bit of a look around.
You can confirm the intervals with the logbook photos here
That only goes up to 120k, but you might find the same schedule on this 2011
Go to a established and decent mechanic that is NOT in a Hyundai business, get a logbook service done there, without the book.
You will save a lot of money and a decent mechanic will then become your friend and appreciate your ongoing patronage.
The dealers cannot force you to get any services done by them, it's called restrictive trading. Any registered and suitably qualified mechanic can do logbook services for any vehicle.
Nothing in their user manual? Sorry I won't go through 600+ pages.
