So… no dual core, and the lack of RAM is a little dissapointing but the screen resolution seems alright, along with Voda and Telstra NextG support this seems like a good alternative to a Optus Mytab.

  • There are actually quite a few ChinaTab with 3G. Just scanned through BuySKU:

But yeah, none have dual core.

  • FWIW isn't analogue TV being switched off?

  • lol analog tuner in a tablet

    talk about a useless feature

i think you sacrifice too much for the wimax capability

    800 x 480? yuck

    btw. 3G: WCDMA 2100MHz

does it mean 3.5g? its not 4g i gather

    • None of these tablets are Wimax and they are certainly not 4G LTE. and there are 1024 x 600 tablet variants for $149, which could be even cheaper after Nexus 7 3G is announced.

They are HSDPA 3G running on 2100mhz band which is supported by all networks in Australia.

As far as price is concerned, these china-pads fill the void between the $100 dollar Optus Mytab and $200 Dell Strek 7 (both of which are low end, single core, 480 x 800 devices). And you can't buy those anymore…the cheapest 7" 3G device is now the Huawei MediaPad which goes for $249.
