Hello - Received the below email from Netflix and wondering whether it is only me (because I was trying to create a new Nigeria account - not yet successful) or they are saying good bye to Apple payment completely. Thanks.

They ended subbing through Apple quite some time ago. Only existing subs could continue. Once you dropped out, there is no way of going back.
Seems like existing customers are also forced to move away from Apple. Or get the account blocked. I am a customer who had Apple as the Payment method from early days (more than 5 years now)

Did you stick to your Apple payment details? If yes, did the account get Netflix account get blocked and you need to reactivate by providing new payment details as well as choose one of the new plans?
If no and you updated your payment details (e.g. credit/debit card, paypal), how did you change the payment? Did you need to cancel from the Apple account> Subscriptions, then add payment on Netflix account? or did you just add the payment details on Netflix account, which overrides/wipes the Apple payment details?
The account became inactive on the date when iTunes Payment was due. No content could be accessible. Just added my credit card as the payment method (on Netflix account on their website) and the account became active. Did nothing on the Apple account.
Not adding a lot of value here, but also got the email about needing to change payment information.
Question though, it says it wouldn't allow me to use Netflix giftcards as a payment method. What if I wanted to do that?
On February 24, 2024, I received an email notifying me of my account suspension without any prior warning. This email was received on the same day my account was suspended. currently I have a $75 credit on my iTunes account and since 2015, this account always paid for my subscription. I initially thought it to be a scam, but once I did use my credit card on Netflix it was charged $10.99 instantly. Any information on why my iTunes balance of $75 was rejected would be appreciated. I mainly use ITunes gift cards to load credit on to my ITunes account. Thank you.
It was cancelled a week ago so took the plunge as the fam got used to Netflix (Turkey) since 2018 and went with $6.99 AU plan. Not too bad as I saw 1 ad after 3 shows. Will see in a couple of months
