Coles brand is $2/500ML. Just saying

If coles had a similar delivery deal, it would be amazing…

  • "Tested clinically by Dentists"…uh huh..sure

  • Aldi brand is much cheaper

    • I love a deal but the Aldi one is like rinsing with methylated spirits.

    • +6

Of course a home brand is cheaper.

Aldi is so clever in their marketing. All they’ve done is taken home brand products and convinced people to compare the prices to brand names instead.

Compare Aldi’s prices to home brand products at Woolworth and there’s little difference. Especially when you factor in rewards points, petrol discounts, convenience of a being able to do all your shopping at one place and specials.

There’s nothing wrong with home brand products at all. I just can’t stand the hype Aldi gets.

      • Aldi's mouthwash are Australian made, not sure about Woolies, but Coles is Chinese. Colgate is Thailand.

You really don't need this.. Just get normal toothpaste from a reputable brand and an electric toothbrush and you're set!

    • I keep mouthwash at work. Handy when brushing is a bit of an inconvenience.

  • I believe these stain your teeth?

    • +3

Yes, this product contains CPC (Cetylpyridinium Chloride) which can stain teeth in a small percentage of people (3%). Any staining can be removed by polishing by a hygienist.

  • Mouthwash is toxic to Nitric Oxide production. Should be avoided at all costs

Just looked it up, may give it a miss as I've never thought it is necessary,.

      https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC7567004/

In conclusion, we generated the hypothesis that a disturbance of the nitrate–nitrite–NO pathway by oral antiseptics may be the pathogenic mechanism behind the observed relationship with mortality. While this hypothesis remains unproven, based on the available meta-analyses and observational cohort studies, it is recommended to restrict the use of oral antiseptics to indications supported by evidence.

Guess I’ll stick to warm water and salt

        • Probably ok, can you really be bothered with that?
          Maybe ask your dentist

          • -1

@G-rig: Dentist care about teeth, not your gut health and cardiovascular system……

            • @Rizzler: Predictable.

I know, just like doctors (GPs) have no idea about nutrition (and have little to no training).
So of course they feed everyone antibiotics which ruins your gut microbiome as you know.

The point is, a discount shopping forum isn't the place to give medical advice :). I take it you are keeping saturated (animal) fats to a minimum and avoiding foods high in cholesterol.. good work.

  • It's rubbish since they removed the alcohol. I've gone back to meths.

    • I heard meths removes your teeth.

Not sure which is better? Meths or alcohol?

$5.99 for 1000ML at chemist warehouse atm

    • So same price but less plastic waste and
Carbon footprint getting one thing delivered.

  • Coles one cleans much better and contains alcohol.

  • thanks OP

  • Thank you OP great price

  • Great price but pity green tea flavour isn't on promo.

  • Prefer the more pleasant Colgate Total Plaque Release which is $4.50 S&S ATM.
