  • Do laptops even come with lan ports anymore?

    • +4

Most gaming laptops do. But we will be Wi-Fi ready for those without ethernet ports.

    • USB to ethernet adapters work well

    • My gaming laptop does, it's got a neat little fold down clip.

    • Yes, plenty of gaming and business/enterprise laptops still do because Ethernet will always outperform WiFi, even in 2024, especially in home user contexts and especially if utilising 2.5GbE/5GbE/10GbE Ethernet connectivity.

Obviously 13-14" Ultrabooks will usually forego including Ethernet ports in the pursuit of a thin chassis but there's even 13" laptops with Ethernet sockets like the Fujitsu Lifebook series.

Wish Sydney had big LAN Parties!

    • Me too ! Discord isnt the same

    • If someone can fund us transporting all the gear and team up there, we'll do it!

      • +1

You can probably charge abit more for tickets to see if Sydney has the market for it. I'd happy spend $40-50

For me it was setting up people with the WinXP Royale Noir and Zune themes. Plus a good collection of wallpapers and system icons.

      Good memories.

it's a bit buggy at times and you really need even teams of real people

there's a couple of others that are a bit different

best part about warcraft 3 is it runs on basically anything, like 10 year old i5 work laptops that were supposed to be sent to the electronics recyclers…..

Dear Op, Glen Waverley is spelt with an e before the y. I noticed you made the same spelling mistake twice in your post.
