Just wondering if anyone got youtube premium India working recently?

I tried vpn trick with nordvpn but get error saying Country not Identified.

Is the only way to do it now to sign-up over there? then would the account work in australia ?

    Does your Google account have an Indian payment method?
    If you're connecting to a VPN and going to sign up and it's not in Indian Rupee after you've logged in then either the VPN hasn't landed you in India or you have another payment profile active.

    Note: you can't switch between payment accounts. If you have an Aus one or a Turkey one etc then they will need to be deleted so there's only one - India

      I see. I created new Gmail without VPN.

      So you are saying need to do this:
      A. Log into VPN
      B. create new Gmail and link Indian card
      C. Then YouTube account is linked to India and then I can watch YouTube premium in Australia or another in the world?

    I use this and I don't have an Indian Payment method.

        Probably about 2+ years ago.

        I just logged on with VPN, used my Australian credit card and it just worked.

    Is it due to India's crackdown on VPNs? Nord only has a single server there and has to provide details to the government, it's probably pretty easy for Youtube to block it.

      Yeah. I was surprised Nord had Indian server. Hence i tried to make the effort. Few months back, VPN wasn't easily available.

    Youtube Ukraine is the best bet unless you know someone with an Indian card. Comes to about $4 AUD a month.

      So, just go to ukraine vpn and connect to australian credit card?

        Yep, they don't require local payment methods for Ukraine.

        Did this method work for you? My premium just expired, Ukraine isn't working for me, neither is Pakistan. I just get we couldn't verify your country when I try to sign up.

    Tried India, with Indian payment but non indian card, not working.

    Ukraine not working same error, need card from country.

    Would be interested in seeing if one can get an indian card/ temp cash card or something.
