I use this stuff every day in my breakfast smoothie. For those who haven’t had it and are peanut butter fiends, take it from me that this stuff is the tits.

I normally get the 425g ones when iherb have the 20% off sale but even factoring this in this is cheaper by far.

Buy 2 and get 6% further off.

  • Correct me if I’m wrong, but isn’t this just ground peanuts with added sugar and salt? Surely it’s MUCH cheaper to make this yourself?!

    • +8

Not quite. This powder has been processed to remove the majority of the fat, so - when re-hydrated with liquid - will have far lower calories than actual peanut butter. It’s a common swap for people dieting or otherwise looking to lower calories. Also works well in smoothies.

100% peanut powder, no added sugar.

great for shakes and you can make a mean healthy satay sauce with siracha, lime and coconut milk.

Id love to find a bulk supplier.

      • this deal is way cheaper but does this taste better?

  • Does this have more or less salicylates than normal peanut butter?

12% sugar too, that's almost triple standard peanut butter :/

    • Gram for gram, this powder when hydrated has less sugar than most “sweet” peanut butters.

    • DELICIOUSNESS DEFINED: for a tasty, reduced-fat peanut butter spread, mix 2 Tbsp. Of dry PBfit with 1.5 Tbsp. Of water. Stir until smooth, and spread anywhere you would put regular peanut butter.

Moderately high in sugar, low in fat

  • Love this stuff, so good for just more protein and flavour to shakes and overnight oats.

Also good in smoothies if you want a peanut taste to it. If I didnt have a jar I would hjave bought more.

Why not use peanut butter which is 10 times cheaper?

    • +4

      This has lower calories

      • +1

Is there any way to buy it locally?

    • Peanut butter can make your smoothie rather fatty.

Can be important if you are trying to balance omega 3 and omega 6 ratio.

This tastes great and has a lot less calories/fat than normal peanut butter. Good if you are trying to eat less / lose weight

  • If its like PB2 it has fat removed which is why some people get it. Got some PB2 from Coles on clearance once, didnt like the taste

    • For what it’s worth I like the taste of PBFIT better than PB2. I think it has to do with the sugar used.

      • Does PBFit have more sugar? PB2 was just salty and bland to me

  • Good deal thanks OP just bought x2

  • For anyone who wants the calories, Coles brand peanut butter in shakes is the MVP

  • Not seeing the deal. What am I missing? 🤔

If you have a Costco membership, these are $27.99 regular price.

It was on sale for $19.99 last month

    • Ooh I had no idea, thanks

  • I bought some good until 2025 at Costco for $5 each. This size. Bought 10. Blitz it with frozen bananas and cocoa

Dunno, maybe I'm weird, fat isn't the prob, it's carbs. Taking out the fat is taking out the best part that has all the slow release energy and replacing it with simple sugars that will give a kick (and dip) and spike insulin which can lead to fat gain.

I just use the peanut butter that has nothing but peanuts (and maybe salt) in the ingredients.

To each his own. Happy to have my mind changed.

    • +2

You are correct. Sugar is the enemy. Fat is your friend.

      • +2

Not correct from a weight or caloric standpoint. Fat is calorically denser.

    • +3

Incorrect. From a caloric standpoint fat is worse than carbs - it has over twice the calories per gram than carbs or protein.

This product is basically trying to be "skim peanut butter". It seems like processes expensive garbage to me, but it makes sense at a caloric level if you need peanut butter and you need to drop every calorie you possibly can.

I would personally just trim elsewhere and eat real peanut butter.

      • +1

Fair comment, for most people I think it makes sense to avoid processed anything, including this.

I typically only use the powder when dieting to low body fat (ie under 10%). When you're eating less than 50g of fat a day, you're going to want to prioritise micronutrient-rich fat sources (in my case, omega 3s, red meat) rather than peanut butter, and there's not much left to trim out. So the powder is a worthwhile swap.

But when I'm not dieting, the powder sits at the back of the pantry untouched, that's for sure.

    • Fat isn't the problem in cooking or salad because you use a couple of spoons. You dont deliberately drink a bottle of fat just because it is less damaging the sugar. A jar of peanut butter that people finish in a few days or a week contain a huge amount fat.

Calorie excess can lead to weight gain. Doesnt matter if its sugar or fat.

  • What was a joke in1973 is now proven to be true. Sleeper with Woody Allen

  • Pretty sure this is the dehydrated waste product of the peanut oil extraction process.
    Should be dirt cheap.

  • Hey OP, thanks for getting me onto PBfit. Really liking it.
Just letting you know the chocolate 850g is on sale for $21.67
