Although a bit disappoint about delivery fee to Victoria, this is current lowest 4080 Super card from a renowned manufacturer. Windforce is a low end tier in Gigabyte's product line but it is more than enough for any 4K games, even with ray tracing.

When we could expect for a further price drop?
Probably when something else gets announced, either the next gen AMD or maybe end of year.
every few weeks.
https://allneeds.com.au/pny-geforce-rtxtm-4080-super-16gb-ve… PNY version for same price here
Is pny better, same, or worse?
not sure about PNY's quality, but ASUS/Gigabyte/MSI are among first tier of graphic card manufacturing
Gigabyte had the issue with their cards cracking and they wouldn't allow warranty claims, it's the only reason I'd avoid them but I know PNY didn't have the best name years ago either but they seem to have improved
Seems like it gets slightly worse temps but basically the same
To be honest - it really doesn't matter. Even the "OC" models all perform pretty much the same.
Yeah better off OC or Undervolt yourself but I wonder if the OC models could take a bit more heat? I know the OC models is just a profile switch and basically gives little extra performance
@lookingforadeal7: Even then it doesn't matter. I've got a 4080 and performance is actually better if I undervolt it and set power to 96% than if I just go balls to the wall and max power to 110% and add 100-200mhz to the clocks
@lookingforadeal7: It depends on model and brand. my Gigabyte Gaming OC card can deliver up to 33% more power (well the slider goes up to 133% and it has more VRM'S for the extra power compared to Gigabyte Windforce non OC model. But if an OC model is only uses 10% more power quite possibly it does have identical components. I think the main reason for OC headroom is if you get dud silicon throw more power at it to get higher frequencies you couldn't get at 100% power even with undervolting
gaming OC and non OC model were often the same price or only $50 difference, so I'd take the OC for piece of mind in that scenario
Would ray tracing the primary reason why you'd pick this over a 7900 XTX?
Ai
RT + everything else outside of gaming. Video/photo editing, AI, streaming, 3d modeling etc.
Heaps of reasons especially the resell value when it's time to dispose to upgrade.
PNY was $1499 a few weeks ago which tied the ATL mid last year, so with the super card max 5% better were talking $1575. Why we havnt even broken the $1499 barrier is strange considering the drop in 4080 super prices in the US.
Also blackwell end of the year.
Yeah there's been heaps of sales in the US for GPUs recently, unfortunate we haven't had many here
It takes two months for sales to reach here, and that's only if they're permanent price drops. Ebay sales, and prime day deals are the best bet now.
4080 super barely faster than 4080, 4070 ti super better value than this
cheapest 4070 Ti Super still costs about $1399; while 4080 Super performed about 15-20% better than 4070 Ti Super; (1699-1399)/1399 equals about 21.4% higher. So the question is: is it worth the extra $300 for 15-20% boost?
In another post there is one with 1350 that's make 25 % and most reviews barely give 15 advantage, mind you that's the best scenario. What make it worse for 4080 super 4080 non super exist and go as far as $1500 how you justifying $200 for 0-5 % performance? Just to have super badge?
@Anubizz: The average FPS difference between the 4070 Ti Super and the 4080 Super is between 15% - 19%.
Well the 4080 at $1499 hasn't been repeated yet, and I don't think they will unless the manufacturers provide promotional funds to retailers to offload them. So you will need to wait potentially at EOFY.
I am tempted by this one to replace my 10 series… it's been a long time since upgrades and since I am rocking an mini ITX build I need a card that is slim and short enough to fit the case, this one will fit just and fits the PSU wattage as well. No RGB as well so that's a plus.
Just weighing the 4070 Ti Super vs 4080 Super perf/price. Looking at cost per frame from HUBs video… splitting hairs almost.
Saved for enough time now… time to enjoy myself and play some games with proper visuals.
Wish they had this last weekend. Purchased a Sapphire NITRO+ Radeon RX 7900 XTX for the same price. Performance is likely similar (other than ray tracing) but still.
MSI RTX 4080 Super 16GB VENTUS 3X OC Graphics Card is $1699 delivered from computer_alliance on eBay with ebayplus
Ventus is worse imo, especially suspicious that not a single sample has been sent to reviewers, yet they sent them out for the 4070 Ti SUPER reviews.
I caved… just bought the 4080 Super in this deal. Gotta pick it up and then figure out how to install it into the case… I know I gotta dismantle the case. The card can't just slot in from above.
Finally free from the 10 series card.
not a bad deal but looking for further drop
