Sure seems a heck of a lot better than other recent "deals".

    • +3

You eat too much of this trash anyway…

    • +6

They are loosing revenue from the boycott thats happening.

Apparently my friend works in a very busy maccas (in sydney) and they lost $500k revenue in one month .

In middle eastern populated area , maccas cark parks and drive through is now virtually empty nearly all day.

      • +12

Not sure if it's so much to do with the boycott rather than the absurd cost of living and that middle eastern populations are usually a lower socioeconomic group so probably feeling it a bit harsher. Western countries have carpet bombed the middle east for decades now and Maccas has been fine.

        • -3

There are numerous fb groups apparently boycotting maccas.

QLD is a different story. Its all happening in Syd

middle eastern populations are usually a lower socioeconomic group

Not here in sydney. The cashed up are usually arab, drive expensive cars and own million dollar homes.

When i drop off my kids to school, there is over $4M worth of cars (mainly recent models of AMGs, BMW and Range rovers) on the street, all driven by arab mums.

          • -7

@easternculture: Yeah I just had a quick look and the majority of those boycotting don't even look middle eastern, white unhealthy looking people so it makes sense, people who are invested in foreign politics are probably more likely to eat from Maccas. That might be true for some but let's be honest you walk down a street in Sydney and you have 10 of them asking to bum a cig, might be the case for a few because they like to flash their cash but definitely not the case for most. Can also look at crime rates and demographic of those areas and usually proves to be true.

            • @lookingforadeal7: Im talking from real life mate. My street, they are all cashed up. No one has a mortgage, most of them rarely work because they have buisnesses.

The auctions ive been to are usually bought by arabs , most of them pay cash, and im talking about $1.8M+ properties. Mostly tradies and people who own their own businesses.

              • +1

@easternculture: Yeah I used to work for a Lebanese guy who went from homeless to 100m a year in revenue in a formwork company within 5 years. All dodgy business but he did it. But definitely didn't represent all the other Lebanese people that I worked with which was most of the crew but maybe because their $$ went to powder who they probably got from the rich Arabs you see in your street. This was between Syd/Melbourne I moved between states as needed. But that's what I mean it's what you see, so if you live in a rich area of course you'll see rich arabs, same that if you live in a poor area you'll only see poor ones. Im just saying both exist and the wealthy ones are definitely a minority they'll just catch your attention more as they like to flash their cash once they have it as they've probably worked hard for it.

          • -3

@easternculture: What a racist bunch you all are.

I'm not an arab but good on them. You keep reading those 'how to get rich' books and keep on watching those rich dad, poor dad podcasts while scratching your head why you aren't hitting the big time, while those SAH arab hijabi mums cruise on by.

I'm not even an arab, but I'm glad me and my arab bros are boycotting these fake processed punched out nuggets full of growth hormones. This is the new democracy, psych!

Ignorance is bliss for ya'll, so while you hang out at the golden arches, remember "a child dies with every bite", so I hope you're still lovin it, eshayz.

@tossapenny: This post gave me cancer of the brain, thanks bud.

        • Lol what? Sydney is full of wealthy Arabs (legitimately or not is another matter). Even in VIC, they're all driving around in AMG's. Sure, you probably will come across bums when there's so many of them in NSW. It's like going to Springvale or Richmond in VIC and calling Asians poor. A shithole area will probably skew you're thinking about a nationality when it is far from how the majority are living. I heard even QLD is becoming full of Arabs, never thought that would happen to a once racist redneck dominated state. Personally, I wouldn't step foot there myself given nearly every OnlyFans clapped out slapper and wannabe druglord fcukboy on Instagram seem to live there. It's like everyone has something to prove. The weather seems nice though :)

          • +5

@Maths Debater: I'm not sure where to start here there's too many contradictions to point out. Sounds like you spend too much time on Instagram looking at that sort of content, you realise that's how the algorithm works right? My Instagram feed is full of 3D art and photography. Also if you can earn money anywhere and not be confined to working in a certain city than of course you're going to live in Queensland over other states it's just better, just taken a while for other Aussies to work that out but now they're ruining it by moving here in droves.

            • +1

@lookingforadeal7: Well said my fellow banana bender. Beautiful one day… perfect the next!

        • +2

I swear the cost increases have been around 50% since 2020. They've been taking the piss with most of the meal deals.

    • +5

The McChickens patties are now the the size of a cheeseburger patty. The burger isnt even worth $2 these days. Disgraceful

      • +2

In the US the McChicken is on the dollar menu. They should almost call it the McBlan, as it a very simple burger and should have more to it for what they charge for it. KFC burgers are all heaps better and usually cheaper.

        • +2

Chicken is also the cheapest meat there is. Yet they want to charge even more for it. After the last time getting a McChicken. They also badly messed up my order with every item. Then refused to do anything about when I called, Im not going to mcdonalds again. Probably for the best anyway lol

  • Any chance it's available from the kiosk screens?

    • +1

Last time it was a dollar more from memory. And that was still using the app, just not paying through it.

    • It is when you scan your My Maccas barcode at the kiosk

adult happy meal called the 'Kerwin Frost Box'

Macca's is desperate at this point.

    and a McNuggets Buddies toy

I get my adult toy's from Sexy Land.

  • +4

Chicken paste is back on the menu, boys!

  • +2

I want the squishmallows happy meal toys like they have in the US

  • +2

Imagine eating this trash in 2024

    • Any recommendations for cheaper options?

      • Happy meal: grilled chicken wrap with no sauce, garden salad and small sparkling water

      • +1

KFC normally, the app has a $10 combo deal… Not the healthiest option or best quality option but the one near my work is decent.

I'm finding that buying maccas meals separately is comparable value with a frozen coke rather than normal drink.

    • -2

Imagine caring so much what total strangers eat that you spend your time going onto websites to tell them.

  • 6 nugs is RRP $7.45, double cheese burger is RRP $5.95 for those trying to maximise value.
(Based on Rhodes, NSW franchise pricing)

    • +3

The fact that 24 nugs are around $11.50 and 6 nugs are $7.45 is effing crazy…..

Also if you keep creating new accounts, new member offer for 3 nugs is $1.50

Furthermore, can't you get a 6 nug happy meal for around $9? So for an extra $1.55, you get a drink, chips and a toy!

      • +1

I think they've stopped new account deals :( no more $1.5 sundaes:(

        • The app does not show the new account deal.

The email sent does mention the $1.50 deal though but when you click on the deal and it opens the app, the app freezes.

          https://imgur.com/gallery/KP3h0VO

Not sure if it’s a defect or Maccas did stop new account deals for good.

          • +1

@hiiragizawa: They still do it. I've been doing it before Feb deals started

Think they stopped it cause of Feb deals, when this promo is over, I'm sure it will start again.

    • Olympic Park should be the same pricing, same franchise

    • 6 nuggets are also a lot less filling then a double cheeseburger

  • Thanks OP.

  • This deal shows as $7.90 in MyMaccas app in Gold Coast QLD.

Still ok value, but price may vary per state

    • +4

You are looking at the other deal, there are two: one says in-app payment only and that’s the one for $6.90. The other is $7.90.

      • +1

My app only shows one deal at $7.90. I used the $6.90 and $7.90 deals last week. Maybe MyMaccas targets the cheaper price?

McDonalds email mentions $7.90 only also. Screenshot linked.

        https://i.imgur.com/V9VJ5Fs.jpg

Edit: Scratch that! I refreshed MyMaccas app just now. NB: First reply around 4am and $6.90 deal definitely was not there. Bought the two small cheeseburger meals for $9 to use Wi-Fry.

App now shows both a $6.90 and $7.90 deal in QLD.

    • +1

I don't understand why this is reason for a neg, care to elaborate?

      • +1

It doesn’t seem like good value to me. I’ve tried their McChicken burger before when it was a real deal and I wouldn’t get one again even for free. McDonalds even their deals nowadays seem terrible value. Each to their own

        • Doesn’t seem like good value? 2 burgers, small fries and a soft drink for under 7 bucks? You’re gonna have to qualify that comment because I’d argue it’s one of the best pure value deals (assuming you can eat maccas) one can find for food.

I don’t care if people think the food is garbage, but these deals are unequivocally cheap in Sydney 2024

  • +3

Save a few dollars now, pay a lot more later

    • C'est la vie

  • -6

Aah nothing taste better than having a McDonald's after shooting fish in a barrel in a particular strip :-)

  • I need to skip a couple of meals after having the nuggets in order to feel hungry again because of the fats. Anyone else have the same issue?

    Questionable ethics:
    1. Supports genocide of children in Gaza
    2. Exploits child workers in Australia.

Child Rights Committee statement on children in Gaza 8th February 2024 (United Nations Human Rights, Office of the High Commissioner): https://www.ohchr.org/en/statements/2024/02/child-rights-com…

United Nations International Children Emergency Fund (UNICEF) Australia: https://www.unicef.org.au/gaza-israel-conflict

P.S. I condemn the Hamas terrorist attacks on Israel on 7th of October 2023 AND I condemn the Israeli war on children and civilians in Gaza, since then.

Thank god for your comment and boycott, you’ve stopped the war and ended suffering!!1!

  • Absolute ripper deal, looks like I'm getting McDonald's for dinner tonight.

  • Still can’t order anything through inapp payment. Maybe they block multiple accounts?

  • Well their CEO is saying eat at home: 'Kempczinski admitted some customers have stopped eating at McDonald's due to rising living costs, saying: "Eating at home has become more affordable," and "The battleground is certainly with that low-income consumer."

Am finding Hungry Jacks Shake and Win the best value, eg $4 whopper, $7 bacon deluxe + CB. can pair with their $2.5 med chips and/or bbq CB. Much easier for single meal deals via apps, wouldn't go near these places for family. Their jacks chicken has shrunk. Also KFC zinger much smaller patty and chips are smaller, and Carls Angus for $5 is tiny.

PS - first I've heard of any boycott. Seems a few of their franchises overseas have gone rogue with a store here and there offering discounts to military, or fundraising in other religious countries.

  • this has changed earlier than it was meant to?
