Everyone next year - I can't believe they are putting Amazon prime prices up!! This is BS!!

    • They're gonna do it either way, I'm more bothered by the adverts they are putting on Prime Video.

    • They already put up Prime from $59 to $79 so we cancelled. Are you saying it is going up yet again?

      • Probably, they still charge us much less than they do in America.

Found these don't work on some phones as the pin is too short. A straightened paperclip is a very useful tool sometimes.

  • I find SIM tools great for scraping tartar off my teeth. Great deal!

  • What even are these gonna be shipped in. Shocking international delivery for the environment but bought anyway.

    • This comment is gold ⭐️

    • Same

    • Its so amazon. The box will be huge and there will be those airbags stuffed in it to stop the item moving about inside the box.

    Just use a paperclip y'all!

    • Instructions unclear. I hole punched my phone. Help.

  • i will buy all 937 they have in stock

  • how does everyone not have a bunch from boost cashback deals

    • For those who don't keep them, it's quite annoying when you need it. Needle works tho the chance you have one at home is not high.

      • Paper clip

I have heaps from Boost and Vodafone Sim cards.

  • Thank you OP for the detailed instructions on how to use this device.

  • If I can’t find SIM card pin in my drawer, I just use paper clip.

    • -4

      I just use paper clip.

      That will void your warranty.

Funny incident, I asked a simcard shop at Sydney Airport to give me this so I can replace my sim, they said I can only sell it to you for $3

    • I remember asking the friendly flight attendant if she had something I could use and she immediately took a hairpin out of her hair. Took me by surprise but I managed to smile and said thank you.

A sewing needle also works if you don’t have one of these

  • Upload the online receipt to Receipt Jar for a minimum one cent profit on this deal.

  • +1

Its a bargain but I would feel really bad for just creating more useless landfill from the packaging when I have plenty of these already and also paperclips which work just as well lol

  • -1

I am an environmentalist, so I am completely paperless and, therefore, don't have any paperclips. Given my reduced carbon footprint, I should still be under the median even if I order these.

  • +2

    This is insane

    • +1

      Thats why I upvoted.

      • +1

        That’s your right

  • I have had 1 of these in my wallet for probably the past 15 years.

Excellent thing to keep there. You never know when you will need to reset some electronic device or remove a Sim.

    • +2

Yeah I have random women come up to me at Ivy nightclub and say..
      Can you swap my Sim?

      • I don't know how to respond to that

  • That's the lowest Ozbargain deal I've ever seen 😲

  • In from Melbourne West, anyone want to share the order? Only need 1 😜

  • +2

Ozbargain has slid a long way when crap like this is considered a "deal" and has so many upvotes. smh…

  • missed out :(

i need one, i always lose the one that comes with my sim. i want one just in case, but i haven't left telstra in forever so i never had to switch out my sim.

  • No thanks.
    e-Sims only for me.

    • -1

      any good deals on e-Pins?

  • Anyone else got this?

Unfortunately, a problem occurred during shipping. If you have not received your package by 18 February, please come back here for an update. We are sorry for the inconvenience.

    • Good, save a tree. It's not like one single person that ordered it would have needed one. They come with the sim card if swapping sims, or use a small paperclip.

It's ridiculous and they shouldn't have shipped any for a 3c item!

      • I have used a needle to take a sim card out once and it got stuck and I almost cut myself taking the needle out. I didnt have a sim tool handy. I had to go to one of those mobile phone kiosks and ask for help to get it out. My fault, but people do need these things. Even if they have them they can lose them. If they didnt want to ship them then they shouldnt have listed them, no one forced them to.

        • Ha, yeah guess you won't be using a needle again. Any of those kiosks or phone shops could help if you can't find a small paperclip.

I just keep some handy, one in passport and looking at two on my bench right now.

No doubt some people may need one but typically it's just the greed when something is free, or funny to get it shipped. Nothing stopping you buying one now if you still need it lol.

          • @G-rig: My old phone malfunctioned with no warning one morning, I needed the sim card out to transfer to a spare phone so I could actually have a phone I could use. In my panic I used the needle when I couldnt find a sim tool. I dont buy sims or port phone numbers often so I dont have many spares, so an extra would come in handy.

            • @Rain Cloud: ok since they didn't deliver yours you can order that $2 one i found :)
Don't use a needle.. i'm sure you can find a small paperclip though, and bend the end 90 deg.

      • -1

        @G-rig
        Calm down son.
Aldi SIMs don't come with them…

We all ordered on the off chance we might need some Aldi SIMs in the future

Received! Came in a comically large box for what it is.

    • Ah Amazon. You magnificent so and so.

    • Same, did you get a note mentioning a $30 voucher for a 5* review without uploading photos?

      Sounded a bit sus.

      • Explains why it was cheap. Seller is just collecting feedback and going to try to sell something else under the same url.

      • Yes, got the voucher, came here to see if any else did however also seems sus.

        • Did you get the voucher or did you get the note?

          • @tatasauce: Just a note, but it said only 100 people got a note.

I think this is a dodgy play to get feedback and launch the scam.
Very clear to say, 'no photos'

            • @Jessie Ryder: I interpreted it as 100 people would get the voucher, the other ones will get the Amazon Annual Membership (no idea what this is, maybe like a SIM Pin Club).

Lucky draw competition. Either way I won't be participating in it.

          • @tatasauce: Sorry meant to say the note.

  • Had this turn up yesterday! In a box that is way too big.

Think ill hide it in a cupboard and then get all excited in a few years when I find it and then be bitterly disappointed when I realise what it is!

    • +1

Absurd they can't just put that type of crap in an envelope. I got too many boxes in the cupboard as is, hard to re-use them all but tend to keep (for posting other stuff).

      • Totally agree, i assumed it would come in a small satchel, They could have shipped 5+ in the same room as one box. I actually feel a bit bad now cause of this, not cause it probably cost Amazon way more to ship it though.

  • Got it out of a novelty delivery, AusPost handled it and chose not to deliver, this was not worth a trip to the post office.

This item exists to farm reviews for a future product under the same listing ID, I got an offer to leave a 5 star review with specific requirements to not include a picture.

  • Got mine, Maryland to 3 seperate facilities in California to 2 facilities in NSW and 2 more in Adelaide.
