Just found out that the Alexa App cannot be downloaded in Malaysia. At least it's not readily available and needs some tweaks. Does anyone has any info?
I wanted to gift someone an Amazon Echo and rather shocked to find this.
The person is using iPhone so I rule out Google ones. Might check later.
This seems rather bizarre and open-up a whole can of worm for me….
That means the whole heap of Amazon gadgets cannot be used there.
How about nearby contries like Singapore and Thailand?

I was able to download the app when I was in Malaysia, but that might be because im on the Australian Play store. Had no problems setting it up and it worked fine. Perhaps you gotta change your location on the app store to be able to download it.
