What Is The Plastic Trim around The Windows Called ?

We have had a few run ins with some cockatoos in our new place, we've been here for just over a year but there is already some property damage by cockatoos
some stuff I got fixed, and put bird spikes this is the last remaining item on the list

It's a first storey window - the birds seem to have ripped some sort of plastic trimming from the window,

and this is from the bottom of the window I believe, I found this under the window on our driveway : https://photos.app.goo.gl/4XeJCm4kzVrBkZZe8

Questions:
What is this called ? I tried some quick searches on google, like window trims etc.. but not sure
Where do I get it from ? specifically the matching shape / colour - (potentially I can try getting some info from the window manufacturer)
Who do I look get to fix it ? - a window installer trades person ?

I thought I'd post here first to get some idea, before Airtasker etc.

I'm also wondering if there are consequences to not getting it fixed ? is it decorative or has some function ?

Weather stripping relates to moisture, air flow, and window function.
It directs external rain and moisture away from window apertures and helps to retain inside air for comfort while conserving energy for air conditioning and heating.
Without it the window sliding track will be full of dust, which might affect the operational force (opening and shutting) of a window.

Weather seal strip or gasket rubber.

  • and put bird spikes

Nah, the spikes only work if they go through the cockatoo.

    Can't be fixed.

    You need a new house.

  • Is there a brand name on the latch on the inside?

  • This sort of thing tends to be specific to each window manufacturer. If you can find a brand for the windows will be a good start.

    • I can check into the builder documents , or possibly email the builder to get the name
