    VIDAA Smart TV - Boo!!

Did Australia run over Hisense's dog? Why do we get the crap version of every model?

It is not bad at all. Very fast using YouTube and Netflix. Prime even supports HDR10+.

Source: I use it everyday and I won't swap for Google tv.

    • I bought the L9G when it was first announced - ordered it through a local retailer. I tried reaching out to Hisense directly about it but their info was all over the place.

Wasn't until a few months after I'd bought it that I found out my unit did not have the same features as the product with the same name in the US. HDMI ports were lower spec and no Android.

It then dropped in price by a few thousand really quickly, and Dolby Vision was rolled out to the US, which still hasn't happened here over a year later.

these are starting to come down in price … are they also getting better in the tech used ? I'd love to try one just not sure when to jump in.

also what kind of screen do I need for this ?

    • You need an ambient light rejecting (ALR) screen. not cheap thought.

I have the L5F with ALR Screen. Got it all in for $2800 at Good guys. It is a brilliant projector specially when used with the screen. VIDAA is not bad. I use Apple TV and Firestick and switch between the 3 as needed.
Sound output to my sound system is best with firestick and apple but great when using VIDAA.
Picture quality outstanding given the right content is playing

    • Massive tv's are creeping down in price, won't be long till portability is the only reason to buy these.

Wheres the deal?, this is standard Videopro price, and has been OOS for 2 weeks now

    • Not sure if this is the on-going Videopro price but a google search shows that, compared to other retailers, this is the lowest price for this product at the moment.

I had checked with them on the stock. They have confimed that the order is made and they are waiting for the consignment(expecting it within 2- 3 weeks). Same is the case with some other retailers, I had checked.

I have been watching the price at Videopro for a month now and it has always been this, I was about to pull the trigger after doing research and they went OOS, 2 weeks ago now.

Costco did have a similar price before they went OOS

Its 2k less than the slightly better Formovie, so the PX2 is best value/quality of the USTs
