Seems like a decent price due to the specs although I don't know much about QSM. Similar specs to the Samsung Viewfinity QLED so maybe uses the same panels?

1800r a bit low for that size IMHO

Brightness is a bit low too

This is an indoor monitor - the brightness is way more than you need, you aren't going to be using it in a sunny park.

Needs miniLED to be worth it at this price in today's market.

Would you mind sharing a link to a 49 inch screen with mini led for under a grand?

        Will report back in 2035

No, but you've surely seen the 165 and 240Hz QD-OLEDs going for just above this price point, and more responsive 34" entry level VA ultrawides selling for $400.

No deal here. But given there's QHD 165Hz miniLED VA monitors appearing with 336 zones for $450ish, can't help but feel the ultrawide segment will follow suit.

        • Yeah the Samsung 240hz went for $1400~ with an SSD, definitely an absolute steal and much better value but that $400 extra can be 6 months+ of saving for some people, also those deals come and go really quick and usually don't come back.

What model 165hz monitor exactly? Just genuinely curious as it seems like a good price unless it's 27 inch. Also not even sure a miniLED 49 inch exists?

          • @lookingforadeal7: AOC Q27G3XMN is the first I've seen - and it's 180Hz - but I've not been actively looking. Not sure it's even sold here, but at $280 USD MSRP, it's a taste of what's to come.

Also not even sure a miniLED 49 inch exists

Samsung Neo G9: 240Hz, 2048 zones. There'd have to be some others at this point. All of that said I see miniLED as entry level HDR, not exactly suitable for high contrast gaming visuals.

        • LOL. How is a 34 inch 'ultrawide' equal to a 49 inch ultrawide?

Not sure someone is going to be cross-shopping those two sizes. Although I'm coming from the productivity point of view and don't game at all.

@MonkDog: My point is paying over twice as much for 50% more horizontally is dumb, especially when you do have the option of two monitors for cheaper, where you can be flexible with your technology choice to meet a variety of entertainment and productivity needs.

49" QD-OLED is an option as well, and is going to come down in price further due to 3rd generation panels.

  • Great monitor for my java classes! Finally.
