After a power board which has 5+ sockets, each which have an individual switch
I was quite surprised i didn't think they would be that expensive

"The reject shop" carries "enerv8" brand 4 and 6 way switched power boards - but in my experience the six way switched power boards are often in short supply. I'm sorry I can't remember the exact price, but it is in the region of $15 - ie what you would expect to pay. It is a bit big and clunky. It looks exactly the same as the "Ozab" one linked to in a post just above mine.
I was also surprised, when I started looking, at the much higher price charged to add individual switches to a power board. I guess the volume market is in the unswitched power boards - but it means lots of ergs being wasted across the country as countless plugpacks are left on when not needed.
