Wow it’s back, guess they realised $15 isn’t really that enticing

  • +2

Spend an hour in a queue to save $15 lol

    • +2

      More like saving $8.

      • Dude it's IPPUDO, at least based on the Doncaster pricing, $10 ramen is like a $350 saving. @!#%$ their prices.

  • Good deal, but I'm expecting similar to when Hakata Gensuke stores open and they have a grand opening deal there'll be hour long queues.

  • Lunch sorted tomorrow. Nice.

lppudo had this deal $15 1st day month in 2023 all year. so now switch back to $10 maybe signs inflation is easing

    • +1

I wish if our mortgage interest rates too were to fall by this margin.

  • How much does a ramen usually cost?

    • At least $16

      • -1

Tell me where for $16? Thats too low. Minimum is $20

    • -1

At ippudo normal price is $20+.

This place isn't that great. The price is though, it's far too expensive without this deal.

    • It used to be great back in the days

    • I think their portions have also been shrinking… $10 is closer to what you'd expect from their current portion size

    • So where is good value pls. Tia

Every ramen store in Sydney CBD have upped their prices significantly. This promotion will be a relief for many.

  • Thanks OP. If I order 2 bowls just for myself, will it make me look bad?…

I do intermittent fasting and only have a meal a day (btw I know carbs are bad, I eat only because I like those

You look great mate. Enjoy your ramen(s)!

    • A bit of an update on this. They refused this deal at Melbourne Doncaster Store and they said "it is last minute change".

I am sad cause I went for a hotpot with my mates last night and ended up spending more……

For the Perthian: Westfield Carousel store decides to change it to the first Wednesday of the month instead of the 1st of the month which means they're running it on 7/2/24 this month.

    • Good to hear. Not sure i'd be able to handle ramen in todays heat

    • OK Perth cbd still first day of the month?
Pretty gd deal if it's standard serve for $10.
Definitely going to be a regular at that price.

      • No. Also 7 Feb for Kings Square. I just sat down and then checked their fb and then left lmao. I rather eat at Tosaka for full price.
There was no line so I was suspicious.

  • Wow with no end date?

Also are they gonna give half the portion with this deal :/

    • Can confirm it's standard normal size (big bowl actually). I had 2 ramen today …

Ippudo at Westfield Sydney will be undergoing renovations from 01 Aug 2024 :(

    Missed it..

  • Hope Hakataya and Motto do the same. Hakataya app seems to never have any deal at all. Motto app has some ok deals. Motto will keep giving freebies as they grow. I just got a free ramen from them with the reason missing you. Yum!

  • Ippudo is not my cup of tea.

We've eaten ramen hundreds of times and have a favourite elsewhere in Sydney where we ate lunch yesterday and eat ramen typically at least once a week (I'm not sayin' - the queues are long enough).

We've eaten at many different ramen places in Tokyo, including Ippudo Roppongi where I was like 'huh? this is boring food' - maybe great for introverts who don't want to see the person sitting beside them - https://maps.app.goo.gl/ynVS75VJnfvRpxvj7

As others have commented - I found Ippudo Central Park ramen soup thin, flavorless and unsatisfying, and with thin Hakata or instant two-minute style noodles, I won't be paying for that even if it is promoted as a 'deal price' $10 for standard ramen.

We walk past Ippudo Central Park occasionally and have never seen it full - I think I know the reason - it's just not good.

    • Yeah. After hearing people rave about Ippudo I went to the one on Pitt St and it was as you described "thin, flavorless and unsatisfying".

    • Where is your favourite ramen then? Hakata Gensuke? Gumshara, etc? Maybe try different ramen in the menu.

  • Boring taste, a high end cup noodle beat it!

    • Which brand? What is your favourite ramen then?
